Motomom Banded 11/7/07 Dr. Lee Trotter -
I have bcbs of california and didn't have a bit of problem getting though the system. Started with trip to general doc., then an open house for lapband, trip to surgeon and he walked me through the rest with this great packet of steps. Hang in there you are in the right place if it is meant to be it will happen.

What have you done about your rings???
MOTOMOM replied to blahblahblah's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I haven't had my rings sized since I was married 20 years ago consequently I have not worn them for about 10 years. I am very excited to put on the exact same sz. ring that my DH gave me on our wedding day. It is one of my biggest motivations!!! -
I had the AP band installed on Nov. 7th, not only is it 360 degrees around it also has a different locking device that insures the surgeon that it is correctly hooked and will not slide open.

By your 4th day you will feel better, not 100% but better. I was tired the 1st couple of weeks, just rest when you need to, don't over due, keep up with the protien and hang in there it does get better. A pillow on your stomach makes getting up and down better also bumps in the car.

I have been banded since the 7th of November. Still on the liquid diet and feel quite satisfied most of the time. The first week or two I think I was hungry because it is just not normal to eat so little. Now that my body has adjusted my protien shakes are pleny and I also am doing 1 hr of cardio 5 days a week. My port site is feeling much better this week. It still has slight swelling depending on how much activity I am doing but just about back to normal. If you have anymore concerns just ask it is normal to wonder about something new to your body.

Congrats, Good luck on your journey what a wonderful thing to do together. -
Hi, I was banded 8 days ago. It has been pretty smooth so far. Excited to see results. I have already started to walk min per day. Not to fast just up and moving, about 1 mile.
