December Surgery Thread - we rock!

Hi Everyone! So glad to see everyone doing so well I have lost a total of 101lbs since the day of surgery (Dec 16th) and a total of 123lbs total! Here are five things that I'm so happy to be able to do since losing the weight: I can shop at normal stores like H&M and Victoria Secret I can cross my legs I can out-workout very in shape men in their mid 20s next to me on the elliptical at the same (or slightly lower) resistance I have been feeling so much self-love and self-reflection in the past few months I look forward to working out

    Goodbye to beer and pizza?

I"ve def still had a LOT of beer - just not as much of it. Now I get tipsy from 2 instead of 6 - but other than that I can still have it - just gotta drink slowly! As for the pizza, just limit yourself to one (or half - that's all i can stomach) of a slice at a time

    What is in YOUR "SnackBag"?

light string cheese or those baybel light cheese in that red wax! a glass of milk is great too (although can't really put that in a bag lol) greek yogurt beef jerky i always keep Protein bars and shakes in my work desk just in case as well.
  5. @@aelovelady - that's what is getting to me! i lost 90 pounds but i went from barely fitting into an XXXL to have a XXL be loose. However, realistically 335 IS a lot... it's just strange.
  6. I don't think I realized how significantly overweight I was. I mean--- obviously seeing 335 at my heaviest on the scale told me that but I'm just still so surprised at how much that actually is. I've lost 90 pounds - down to 245 in just 5 months. Yet, I still am a XXL and still am always the biggest person in the room and still feel HUGE. I know my face is different and I can FEEL lighter. But 90 pounds down and I still have at least 50 more to go which is WAY less than what i've already lost- yet I still feel HUGE.
  7. Hey All, It's been about 4 months since I had my surgery, I'm down around 70 pounds since the pre-surgery diet. However, while 70 pounds seems like a huge amount, I don't feel like my body has changed as significantly as 70 pounds sounds. My face has changed significantly but my body in general has not changed as much as I assumed it would. Before my surgery I could barely fit into a 3x and now I still shop about around a 1x. I'm not sure if it's just because even 70 pounds down and I'm still over 250lbs and have way more to go - but despite the scale my belly and rest of my body don't feel like I've lost as much weight as i have. Has anyone else had issues with their perception?

    Rash?

I have a red bumpy rash on my shoulders and down my lower back. It also is not on my chest, just a few right above my cleavage. Has anyone had issues with this? It's very itchy and after about a week these bumps have scabbed over. HALP

    Looking for a friend!

Hey! I just got the surgery done on 12/16. I'm going through a similar experience where most people I know who have had the surgery are much much older than me, I'm only 22. I'd love to chat about it feel free to private message me!

    Protein help

deli meat and cheese actually gives you a decent amount for lunch!
  15. how's everyone doing?! i'm at 9 weeks and have lost 35 pounds since my surgery date. I feel like that's slow compared to a lot of other people i'm reading about on here -- and i thought i'd lose MORE because i'm young. anyhow - how about the rest of you all?
