Hi Everyone I was just wondering if anyone had any advice with going through Kaiser for their gastric bypass procedure? I'm switching my insurance over in January (I was with blue cross but my insurance had a provision excluding wls) so now I'm switching to Kaiser. Just wondered if anyone had any advise on my best way to get approved? I'd be going to a Kaiser in Southern California. Thank you!!

Hi Anyone have any advise with trying to get your surgery approved through Kaiser? I'm switching to them as of January 1st and want to do the best I can to make sure I can get approved. I'll be meeting with my primary and trying to convince him/her to recommend me for surgery all in the same day so any advise would be much appreciated -

Hi! I was with blue cross but they had a specific provision excluding bariatric surgery so I'm officially with Kaiser as of January 1st. Any advise on how to get approved? I'll basically be meeting my new primary and trying to convince him to say I need the surgery all in the same day. Just curious if you had any insight on how the process works with Kaiser. I'm in Corona so I'm guessing I'll be going through Kaiser in Riverside. -

Hi there! I'm Lauren. Just made my account on here tonight. Still in the beginning stages of looking into gastric bypass. I'm in So Cal in the Riverside area. Noticed you have Kaiser as well? I know the rule change from each location, but do you have any advice on trying to get approved? I'm switching to Kaiser starting January and want this process to go as quickly as possible Thank you!
