  1. @@anewme15 I'm doing great. Just over 4 months post op. Feeling great. I've lost about 70lbs so far. So happy with everything. This was the best thing I ever did. I still have issues with food not agreeing with me, but that's not a bad thing. I'm looking forward to the summer. I have friends getting married and it's so nice to be excited to get dressed up and feel pretty. ????????
  2. Hi all. How is everyone doing?
  3. @anewme15. Congrats on your surgery date! So exciting.
  4. Hi everyone. I'm doing fine. I was back in the hospital for a few days due to dehydration. Not fun. But doing better now. Back to work on Monday. I'm finding it difficult to get lots of water and protein in. I feel like I am constantly eating or drinking.
  5. Good luck @tintin. I'm sure you will do great. Keep us posted!
  6. How is everyone making out? I am headed back to work on Monday. I can't wait to get back into a regular routine. I must say though, you really do need a bit of time to figure out how to time food, water, vitamins, etc. I am feeling really good myself.

I love mynetdiary. It has an app for iPhone and iPad. You can also punch in your own recipes and it will give you nutritional info. I can also track weight, vitamins/meds, water intake, exercise, body measurements, and daily notes. I have been using it for a few years off and on now. I love it.
  8. @tintin. I lost 16lbs on the Optifast. My husband lost 27lbs when he was on it 2.75yrs ago. Keep up the good work!
  9. @kcadoret. I started my vitamins as soon as I got home. They do give liquid in hospital. I couldn't find a liquid multivitamin. The wellesse calcium actually tastes decent though. I suggest a weekly pill box for vitamins and any medication.
  10. It is nice to have other people to talk to that are going thru the same things we each are. And just because the WMC doesn't have much for a support system in person, doesn't mean we can't suggest or start one. ????
  11. @tintin. I agree. Eating out with friends is really hard to do. But you still need to see friends. I found drinking my shake on the way to an evening out helped. I went to the movies with friends while on shakes and it was hard but I did it. Even post surgery it is not easy to go out to dinner with people at least early on. And constipation is your enemy.. Both before and after surgery. I never had a problem with it before, but now oh my. That all being said, things are still better. I have more energy. I don't sleep as long or feel as tired. And it's almost time to go shopping for a new outfit or two. Life isn't easy post surgery. But it is worth it. No buyers remorse yet! ????
  12. @tintin. How is the OPTIFAST going?
  13. @tintin. Woohoo! 3 wks til surgery! Way to go! Tomorrow starts a new beginning! Good luck and keep us posted!
  14. @kcadoret. I totally know how you feel. The sad part is you will be on liquids/soft foods for a long time. But at least you will have a few different flavours. I'm 20days post up and pretty much still eat yogurt and Soup. I have tried deli meat, didn't sit well. Tried tuna. It was ok but still felt weird. food is definitely a challenge post op. But you aren't physically hungry. It's more head hunger. I am nauseous or queasy a lot. But that seems to be the new norm. I haven't vomited yet so that's good. I know we have lots of challenges to overcome, but we can do it. ????
  15. @kcadoret. How are you making out on the Optifast? Only 5 days to go! Woohoo! You can do it!
