    I'm waiting for my insurance to approve my surgery. Feeling so nervous. I told myself I wouldn't be, but it's been almost a week and I have not heard anything yet. My surgery is scheduled for the 29th.

    Seven pounds

    I have my pre-opt appointment in three and a half weeks. I need to lose seven pounds by then. I had an appointment today and was disappointed that I wasn't closer to the required weight loss. I've been strength training, weights, and cardio. Apparently I shouldn't be doing anything besides cardio for weight loss right now. I can't help but feel discouraged, because I've been working so hard. I'm in need of to suggestions......

    So I see that some people are two week liquid diet and some are one week prior to surgery. What is the reason behind this? Does it just depend on the surgeon?

    Dying hair?

    Anesthesia can sometimes affect the way hair reacts to chemical services such as color or perm services after surgery. Not sure why you couldn't do it before though?
  8. As a mother of two small children I could not be happier to know I'm making a life change that will make all of our lives better. I just got my surgery date two weeks ago for the end of January. I have struggled from the beginning with losing the weight my insurance company requires (a certain percentage). I need to loose ten more pounds to get approved. I'm struggling with being motivated because I'm having a hard time putting myself first. I have explained to my family how important this is to me and for them for so many reasons. I have said over and over how the gym and eating more healthy needs to be a priority. I know they hear me and want to be supportive, but I'm not sure they're really listening. Until recently I had been walking a lot and putting my boys in the stroller but that's not possible now because it's just too cold and I even gained two pounds. :-[ By the time my day is finished, I often feel I have nothing left for myself.
