Amazing!! Good for you! -
I went from 296 to 225 so far, its not all about the weight, but the body fat %. You can be adding muscle and losing fat. I had a goal weight of 205 ish in mind, but feel comfortable at 225. Your body will settle into its natural weight after the reset.

Thinking about weightloss surgery but I have an Issue.
JerseyJules replied to WIndowsX.P's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
#1 For goodness sakes go to a heart doctor and have a stress test ASAP...They might not even operate on you with those issues. #2 switch doctors and go see Dr. Bertha from NJ Bariatrics, he did my surgery and he doesnt require that 6 month failure program others do. and only 1 day liquid diet leading into surgery. #3 never drink soda again, ever..Worst beverage period. Then check out my Youtube page, my very 1st video will sound all too familiar. -

Surgery Now or Later? (Poll)
JerseyJules replied to FluffyChix's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Wait till after the holidays or you will be absolutely miserable and question the decision you made. If you start in January, then by next holidays you are back to normal and can eat pretty much anything and not feel deprived or depressed. For me the first 4 weeks were pretty crappy and I couldnt imagine that while celebrating the Holidays. I would enjoy the holidays, be sensible however, then start fresh after new years. -
For me It was almost seeing my ab muscles now!!!! And the veins in my arms when I work out!! Also being able to look down and see my.....Well....You know...

Thank you so much, going into this with a good knowledge and foundation so that you can make the most of it, is the key element in my opinion. So many others make the mistake about nutrition afterwards and dont get the results they thought they would. Its not a magic fix, but a tool in your tool box to help you achieve your goals.!! -

Amazing isn't it? All the times we tried to lose weight in our lives and failed. -
Is this what regret feels like or is just a phase?
JerseyJules replied to lessoflilo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I will be honest I felt a few instances of regret, especially when I first woke up from surgery...lol.. Mostly a few short bouts of regret during the first 3 weeks, but seeing the scale move down for the first time in my life, made the regret quickly go away. I just hit my goal weight today of 225 which I havent weighed since I was 18 years old, and there is not a single thing I regret about having done this. I only regret I waited so long to do it. -

I had the same issue last year at six flags where I almost couldnt fit in the superman ride. It was embarrassing and I felt so bad cause my son loves roller coasters.. Its a great feeling now isnt it? -
Weight training in some form will jumpstart your metabolism like you wouldnt believe. It will also help shape your body as the weight falls off.
-
The caffeine and sugar withdrawal for the first few weeks will give you massive headaches. I added small amounts of coffee back in my diet in week 2.

Youre a food addict like we all are/were. Once you come to terms with it and get past it emotionally, and realize food is fuel and you will be able to eat it all in moderation sooner than you realize, you will be fine. Your releasing emotions and hormones and going through withdrawal and it will pass. Trust me it gets easier after week 4 to 6.
