I’ve regained ALL the weight back 😢♀️

The bottom line is that we are all obese for different reasons, be it medical, physical or emotional reasons. But once you identify the reason and deal with those demons it makes things a bit easier to deal with. The surgery is only a tool to deal with the issues that you need to address on your own first. No amount of surgery will make you want to exercise, eat right and be healthy , you have to want that on your own. My wake up call was watching family members die at young ages due to health complications from being obese and I wanted to be around for my family. If that is not reason enough to want to be healthy and you still choose to not make the efforts to live healthy and longer, at least have the courtesy to get a large life insurance policy on yourself so that your family will be taken care of when you're gone...

    How much exercise?

weight training!!! Lifting weights!! LOL...It could be free weights or machines. If your uncomfortable at first watch a few videos on Youtube on how to lift weights properly. Focus on movements that incorporate a lot of muscle groups, like kettle bell swings, squats of any kind and core training.
  5. 700 is dangerously low!!!! Seriously...Up it to 1200 and you'll break your stall and feel healthier.

    How much exercise?

Once you get the elliptical mastered, move on to resistance training, that is where the big calorie burns are as well as the body shaping benefit. General fat burn advice, you should be able to hold a conversation while exercising, if you cant your pushing too close to cardio levels. shoot for a target heart rate of about 120 bpm, then maintain that for 20 to 30 mins. This will target fat burning with little muscle loss in the process.
  7. This is actually true, your body will store the energy you ingest in anticipation of not getting enough food in the future, like a hibernation mode of sorts. Now add in exercise and you will stunt your progress even further...The average female needs 1500 to 1800 calories a day in general and the average male 2000 to 2500 a day. Now when you exercise you need even more. The trick is to find the proper amount and type of calories for your body type and daily routine...

    Am I eating too much?

I personally eat 6 to 8 meals a day but smaller in size than normal meals I used to consume. One packed meal usually becomes 2 separate meals because I will split it over the course of 3 to 4 hours. I cant usually eat a whole serving of sides after a 4 oz serving of chicken. But I can eat the 4 oz of chicken about 4 times a day if I wanted to. Also what might be too much for you might not be enough for my caloric needs, so you really have to gauge your own specific caloric needs per day based on activity level, work outs and lean body mass. Generally speaking an average female should need between 1500 and 1800 calories a day where the average male needs 2000 to 2500. But its only a basic average, I know some women that need 4600 calories a day due to their work outs.

    Just came home from surgery

Walk....And small sips, not gulps..Sip sip sip....Then sip sip sip some more...then walk...Once the gas goes away it becomes easier, also ask your doctor if you can take a liquid anti inflammatory, that might help with some internal swelling. Take it one goal at a time.

    Coffee question

Oh, but too much coffee will give you killer heartburn sometimes...Pace yourself..

    Coffee question

I was drinking coffee by day 4. I used my protein drink as creamer and Stevia as sweetener. Try the premier protein pre made shakes as coffee creamer, you can make it banana, vanilla, chocolate, caramel flavor with these. But try and avoid those fake sugar ridden sweeteners you're used to with the old style of coffee. also take it slow with the coffee, it will effect you a lot right after surgery...Like youll be wired for 2 days straight..

    Breaking some rules

I too craved some salt on the full liquid stage, mainly because I was sick of the fake sweet protein drinks and jello...A saving grace for me was Tomato Soup! It was salty enough and I felt like I was drinking pizza... Try it..
  18. Having a sip or two of water or wine with a meal is not gonna be a deal breaker, but ordering a beer with your meal is no good!! If I want to go out now, I do my drinking prior to eating, mostly Gentleman Jack and diet coke, then wait for dinner and eat a small meal, then either have another drink about 30 to 40 mins later or some coffee..But I never drink with my actual meal.. I also do the 30/30 rule.. I will say, I can drink about 3 beers or mixed drinks in a 3 or 4 hour period, which will get me buzzed prior to dinner..
  19. The full liquid phase was the hardest for me also.. I couldnt wait to eat mushy foods...I was craving salmon and hummus for several weeks, and I never even liked either one..Its a tough time period but you have to be strong..
  20. I still avoid it at all costs, even at 10 months out.

I’ve regained ALL the weight back 😢♀️

This topic touched me so much and made me both angry and sad all in one...The issue touched home so much with the topic of addiction, that I decided to address it in one of my new videos. I honestly hope nothing I said in this video offends the original poster in any way, Im honestly trying to help by sharing my experiences and give some advice,My intent is not to scold you. Please if I can be of any assistance feel free to message me or contact me, we can get you back on track. PS I named it the "cheesburger fairy", for a joking spin on accountability...

Two month out ..... I'm very down !!!!

You will hit minor stalls as your body adjusts. Increase your calories for a few days and increase your exercise a bit. The stalls I hit were 3 weeks, 2 to 3 months and 6 months..Im now settled in around 222 to 225...

    Sushi post sleeve?

I would wait about 6 to 9 months to mess around with rice. Its not terrible for you, but there are better choices to fuel your body with. But yeah, I can eat sushi now if I want..Not as much for sure, but I can.
  25. I used to get "you didnt look that big" or "I didnt think you were big enough for surgery", but I would answer them with "Tell me how many 300 lb 80 year olds do you know?" This would usually silence them... Overweight people can be complicated when it comes to feelings and emotions and the things that they feel offended at, so it's really a delicate subject around them. I had a cousin stop talking to me after my surgery cause I suggested she do it, and she needs it way more than I did I can tell you that...It's almost as if most fat people cant come to terms with the fact they are fat, or they dont see themselves as fat. I know looking back at old photos I didnt realize I was as big as I was, so it is a form of a mental disease and you become disillusion. I say you dont have to entertain the question of the topic and just change subjects to avoid any hurt feelings..
