Hi everyone! I'm wondering if any of you guys are capable of digesting whole pills yet? I really want to start taking my multivitamin pills that I used to take prior to surgery. I have chewables but I despise them, haha. Hopefully everyone is doing well with their journeys!

@@Veronica Page How are you?! are you still on a liquid diet? Has the scale moved for you? Hope you're doing well
-
@VeronicaPage I feel the exact same way. I feel so paranoid because I feel like I'm eating more than one should after the surgery, no meals but too many bites. It's scary! I'm also starting my liquid diet again tomorrow. Let's hope that this restart helps ease our nerves!

I've lost 50 lbs total since my pre op diet started
-
I'm also on a stall, I have lost 18 pounds but gained 2 more out of nowhere. I'm a little disappointed but I know that the scale will go down eventually. Patience, patience, patience!

@@Mariah13 I'm having the same issue! It's right beside my biggest incision and it's a sharp kind of burning pain. I was told it's just the skin healing. I hope it goes away soon because that's my only complication to date

I'm 11 days post op and have lost 32 pounds since my pre op liquid diet. I'm having a stall on the scale, is it normal this soon? Also I'm so paranoid about stretching my new stomach! I'm on a puréed diet and I'm noticing that I don't get full as fast as I used to and it's making me so paranoid!

Sharp burning pain in main incision
JenniferO2188 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I got sleeved on January 15th. The surgery went well and I have lost 32 pounds since I started my pre op liquid diet. However, my biggest incision has been troublesome. It's internally stitched and it looks like a dimple on my stomach. As of yesterday the pain is constant and much worse. It stings and burns INSIDE of the incision whenever I stand up for even a few seconds. If I stand up the pain feels even worse. Almost unbearable. The incision looks normal on the outside, no infection, no puss, no redness. But it's warm to the touch. I don't know what could've caused this.. I haven't done much but light housework and I walk around the house a few times a day. Anyone else experiencing this crazy burning pain? I'm worried. -

@@dar81 well it's not big. I just call it the "big" incision because it's the biggest one, where the stomach was pulled out from. I'm really sorry to hear about your son. I hope he gets better ASAP -

@@dar81 I am good! I wasn't feeling too hot the first 5 days out but I'm much better now. The only thing I can complain about is the big incision. It's just sore and aches from time. How are you doing? Your day is soon!!!!!! -
Thanks a lot for the responses on my incision question but now I have another question! (I know, I'm annoying) but I was wondering how much water and protein do you guys have daily? And if you're on a soft/purée diet, how many times do you eat?
-
Did anyone else get internal stitching with their procedure? It makes one of your incisions look like a dimple. I did and it's the only thing I'm struggling with after surgery. A lot of pain and discomfort from time to time.
-
Thanks for the reassurance guys! I guess I'm getting too eager too soon haha
-
I still weigh the same as I did on the day of my surgery (Jan 15). Is anyone else stalled? It's pretty annoying
-
@@downsizingdiva and how much are you supposed to drink of both??
-
@@downsizingdiva how soon after your surgery were you drinking that much protein and water? I still can't tolerate either.

@@dar81 I'm home! the gas pains I had are gone for now at least I just have bad pain when I sit up or try to lay down but it's only day 2 and it seems to be normal. Thank you so much for checking up on me! You're awesome. Your day is coming soon! ???? -
@@Mariah13 that's exactly how I feel. It kills me to move my body up or down. It's only day 2 after surgery so I hope it's just a short phase I hope you feel better

Is anyone else feeling a lot of pain when getting up or sitting down?
-
It makes me happy to finally be sleeved! It also makes me really happy to see how others are getting sleeved and preparing for better lives! I'm so happy I found this January forum.

I had to stay an extra day at the hospital because I started to get bad gas pains and for some reason my nurse gave me a tiny bit of Maalox to drink with a little bit of water I ended up throwing it all up. I still feel really sore and after walking up and down the hospital hallways I feel better and should be really going home later today

Thank you @@JustJaime5 you're right, it is hurting so bad when I get up and down but t could be worse pain for sure so I can't complain too much. What's hard is being so thirsty and I basically have cotton mouth. I can't wait to drink water! -

@@dar81 I'm sorry! I literally slept the entire time after surgery. I have only been waking up to pee and to be honest it does hurt to get up and down. It's not that bad tho. Dr. Paragi finished my surgery in about an hour and a half! The only thing that's been really hard is how thirsty and dry my mouth is. Later at 6am I have a gastric emptying test to do to check for any leaks. I hope it goes well and that I get to go home today!
