  2. so mentally challenging.........how do you get your mind on track with the "new" you?.......problem is, I am so not used to getting attention and it's really, really hard......

Yes, and it's also really, really fun !!! We all look at people who are attractive, thats just human nature. Im sure you might look at others and think they look nice, so now others are looking at you and thinking the same thing. You've worked hard to get where you are, so congratulate your self and enjoy the new you !!!

As time passes, you will get more comfortable with the new you, and begin to enjoy the positive attention. But I hope you are not being subjected to rudeness. If so, walk away. Rude people do not deserve a response.

I wouldn't say it's really, really fun........lol......struggling with the attention.......family members are like "where did Tammy go" and "oh my God, you look like a different person"......I am still here and still me - it's the mental struggle that has to catch up with the rest of me I guess.....also, the sagging skin SUCKS!!!! lol......and no, no rudeness as of yet - I would walk away for sure!

  3. ugh...........stuck with no weight loss for 2 weeks!!!! How frustrating! Down 60 since surgery 4 months ago - need to figure this out!

everything Babbs said. You've lost alot of weight in a very short time. Your body has to adjust. No need to panic.

  4. Struggling with this darn Phase 2 post op diet.......can't wait for more of a variety of foods to eat....

Thanks Beni! Good to know. I am finding it hard to drink all of the protein I am supposed to which I am sure does not help the tiredness!

drinking now is more important than protein - VERY important to push the fluids so you don't get dehydrated - its ok to be tired and take naps now - sweet dreams!!

my internists said I would be at least 6 months recovering hes right in my case..Im 5 months out still pace myself. stomach surgery is major. drink your water as much as you can...sip away. it in itself is a full time job lol..:)

  6. Emotions all over the place.........yikes! Am excited but.......I guess just the fear of the unknown

  7. My surgery is Friday, and I only have 1 day of pre-op - liquid only. Seems strange as I see so many talking about 5 days pre-op liquids and more. I had asked the nurse when I went in for pre-op tests and she said, yup, that's it! Lucky me I guess.......although I am dreading it...
  8. My surgery date is December 12th!! Cannot wait but feeling anxious.......new to this site but lots of great info and support.
