Today is my 9 month anniversary to be banded. I've done really well, but I'm having a hard time eating. I have a 4cc band, I am at 3.6 cc. Somedays, I can eat, most days it is a strugle. Anybody have any helpful hints. Meats are a no no. I can't keep meat down at all. HElP!!

How do you know if your band has slipped? Does anyone know how it feels? I was just wanting to know. I have a 9.75 inamed 4 cc band, and I am at 3.6 cc. The dr wants to puit more fill in, but I;m having a hard time keeping alot of foods down. There is no way I want anymore fills. I had my band Aug 24th, 05, and I've lost 80 lbs already. I don't want to loose much more. Someone email me if you have had simular problems. Thanks

Yes it is normal, but the more you move around the faster it will get better...... Good luck!!!

I had my band done Aug. 24th 05, and have done real well. I went for my 5th fill, I have a 9.75/4cc band. When thd Dr. went to do the fill, he didn't hold pressure on the needle and it didn't go in. Then he did it again, and it didn't fill like usual. You know how you get the pressure feeling when they enter the port, well, now it is like I have no restriction. What do you think might have happened? I called the office and he does not come back until the 4th. So I am going to see what he says. Has anyone ever had this happen. I can eat anything, before I couldn't even eat scrambled eggs. I'm am so upset. In just 1 week, I've already gained 4bls. back. Please give me some imput!!!!!!

good luck on getting an unfill. I went to Dallas last Monday to get an unfil, and my Dr. told me that if you starttaking the fluid out, you will start gaining the weight back. He told me as long as water is going through, he would not take any out. He said this is the tough part., and nothing comes out of something easy. So, I left the office knowing that I have to make surten changes to acheive the weight goals that I want. It sounds hard core, but I think he knows what he is doing. I was banded Aug. 24th and I have lost 50 + lbs. So not bad for this short of time. Good luck and stay strong!!!!

I had my band Aug.24th, and I've done really good. I didn't have any restrictions until my 2 fill. All banders lose slower thean bypass. Your Dr. will be understanding. Wait until you have had 3 fills. Then you'll know restriction, and the weight will start coming off. I've lost 35lbs., and 24 1/2 inches so far. I guess it is different for everyone. That's is wonderful!!! What a way to get started... I was banded on August 24th, and I have lost 36lbs., and 24 1/2 total body inches..... keep up the good work.......

I am in my 4th week after being banded... So I'm new at all this.. What do ya'll eat, and when your eating solid foods, does it seem like you can eat more than you should? I will have a fill on the 26th. I think I'm really needing one. Also will a fill make that big of a difference?????
