    Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been around. Been in a rotten mood and so totally stressed out by work. I have a big product launch next week and it may be the death of me. I just want this product to hit the market so I can move on! LOL! Plus, my boss is in town the rest of this week. UGH! Hopefully the next three days will go fast. See? All that complaining! That is why I have stayed away! One of my best girlfriends had her little boy on Monday and I got to meet him last night...talk about making my day! Other than that, the walking seems to be doing the trick and the scale is starting to move down again! YAHOO! I have my second fill scheduled for Friday. While the scale is moving again, I have ZERO restriction. I hope everyone has a great day!

    Good Morning Everyone!!!! How goes it today? I hope that the challenge is going well for everyone! Mine is going good. Two workouts in two days...and have been eating better. Which means that my head hunger is crazy! At least hubby and I are going through it together so I have some sympathy at home! Diane - Your chart looks good! You are doing great! Stacey - What is gazelle? I haven't heard of it! Nanster - My Mom just had a total knee replacement on 4/20. So she is still in the icky first two weeks. Poor thing...she is really depressed and just can't get comfortable. I am trying to be her biggest cheerleader and keep her going. We have been told that it gets better after the first couple of weeks...What was your experience like? Tamyrn - Chocolate ban? Hmmm....sounds like it might now be a bad idea. I got really stressed at work yesterday and went straight for peanut m&m's...not good! Ms. Vicki - Congrats on the second fill. I already scheduled mine. How are you feeling? Sunta - I know 1 lbs. a week is frustrating. You are doing great! Keep up the good work and I know you will continue and meet your goals! JanetC & Mikey - Hello there! How are you all?     Major victory for me! I started weight training tonight! YAHOO! We have a home gym and lots of free weights, but I never manage to get off my butt to use them! So, before dinner and while hubby was on the phone, I made it upstairs and got an upper body work out in! Slow and steady!!! Hope you all had a good day!

    Good morning all... Just checking in...was on vacation last week. Didn't do to well. I ate everything in site! UGH! Came home and I have gained two pounds. Not as bad as previous vacations, but not good either. Making a promise to do better this week and get my butt in gear! Promise to start back working out and making better food choices!     February 2006 bandsters unite!!

    Hello all! Back from vacation...we had a great time. Very relaxing! I just scheduled my second fill for May 12th....I was able to eat anything and everything on vacation and it REALLY freaked me out!!!! Hubby and I are putting on the "full court press" starting this week. Good food, excercise....you name it. We are both so disappointed in how we look and feel, so it is time to get our butts in gear!     That's what we did for work....I actually just told my boss I was having surgery and he didn't ask questions....But my husband's boss wanted to know why he needed the day off....he just told him that I was having a surgery for my hernia! Worked perfect!

    OH!!! and I started journaling on FIT DAY! I had used it as a weight tracker, but WOW what an EYE opener when you use it to track calories! STARBUCKS IS EVIL! WHY OH WHY DID I GET THAT THIS MORNING! 470 calories for a :confused: @($*# cup of coffee! (Ok, so it was a venti rasberry latte!):faint: Ok, off of my rant now....I vow to be better today.... I am averaging about 1,335 calories a day...Dr said only 900 a day for me...now I see why the scale isn't moving like I want it to! WOW! Doing what the dr says and really paying attentiong....WHO KNEW THAT WOULD WORK! LOL!!!

    Tammy - Congrats on the 5 lbs. loss!!! YOU GO GIRL! Ok, so I know this band thing is a learning process...so, I decided to make a few more changes today. I made some new goals for myself: 1) I will NOT drink 30 minutes BEFORE or AFTER meals (I was getting good at the after meals, but it didn't seem enough) 2) I will start timing between bites. First goal is to be consistent with 30 seconds between bites and work towards 60 seconds. So I just finished lunch...4 chik'n nuggets from Morning Star (soy chicken or something like that...12 grams of Protein in 4 pieces) it took me at least 25 minutes to eat (yoohoo!) and I timed between each bite...can I just tell you that I am full! DUH! I have been scarfing down way too much! Amazing how old habits are so hard to break and when we actually do what the dr says.....OH MY! IT WORKS! LOL! Thanks for listening!

    First Fill: When Do You Know?

    Hi there! Did your dr. give you any guidlines on getting a fill? Mine made me do 5 weeks of liquids, then 2 weeks of pureed food and then a week of solids. They even checked the calendar so I couldn't schedule before! You might call and just find out. All dr's are different! Best of luck to you!

    Thanks everyone! Ya'll are so great! I think my fill may be kicking in a little...It took me about 40 minutes to get my protein drink in this morning! YAHOO! Plus, I was getting that feeling in your throat when I took too big of a drink! Thanks for keeping my spirits up! I gained a few pounds back and hadn't dropped them, so that wasn't helping anything! Thanks again...ya'll are so special to me and I don't know what I would do with out ya!

    :help: Hi all...Ok, I come here crawling today.....:help: I had my first fill on Friday. I am still terribly hungry and can eat anything! Just like before my fill! I really thought this was it, but it doesn't seem like it. Anyone know what Mexi dips and chips is from Taco Bueno? I ate almost all of it just now! I know, I shouldn't have even gone there.....:faint: I am so depressed! I leave for vacation on Saturday and I don't want to be able to eat like this while I am gone! HELP!:help:

    Hi all! Thanks for the sweet "welcome backs"! Just got back from my fill. Everything went great. I could see the screen and it was so cool! I got 1.6. The Dr. said I have the 10 band. That's 10 cm's right? So how much does that hold? Oh the questions I should have asked! I am on liquids for 48 hours now. Here's hoping that I get some restriction back! He said to wait a week and see how I feel. Guess this weekend will be a guessing game! I can't wait to start loosing again! I really think so much of what is going on with me is head hungries....they have been bad lately. I keep saying "Oh, come on! You can eat more than that!" Like more is better! Hello....no it isn't! Ok, we must unite to stop these HEAD HUNGRIES! They are mean and evil beasts! Have a good day and I will check back later!

    Hi everyone! I'mmmmm bbbbbbbbbbaaaaccckkkk!!!! Lol! Finally done with my business travel for now. Thank goodness, because I have NO restriction and feel like I could eat a house! My first fill is tomorrow! I can't believe it! :: singing :: Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I love ya Tomorrow! :clap2: I feel so behind everyone...am I the last one that was banded early in February that hasn't had a fill?     Welcome to Xann and Sizzle! Welcome to both of you! You will LOVE it here! As has been said, we go through so many of the same things...moods, eating problems, family problems....jumping for joy for loosing weight and NSV's....These are the best people around and will give you lots and lots of great support! Good morning to everyone else! Awww...working from home today and the boss is off today! ::knocking on wood:: Hopefully the day won't get too busy! Tammy and Janet - I hope the pain lets up soon. That stinks. Wish there was something I could do! Sizzle - Congrats on your fist fill! How did it go? Details please! Nanster - Wow, a hubby that eats for fuel only. My hubby and I had the same problem...eat b/c it was there or because we could, etc. He still eats that way, but it is so much more frustrating to him now b/c I am not joining in. He has been fairly down about his weight recently. He is considering the band, but he hasn't made it to the place where he can say he wants to "give up" food. Glad your hubby is so supportive! Aren't they the best?!! Xann - Congrats on the weight loss and the fills! Ok, must check email...can't blow work totally off today! Have a wonderful morning and I will check back later!

    My hubby knows what my starting weight was. When we were discussing the surgery as a possibility I finally told him...more to make a point. Once he found that # out, he was a little more understanding of why I wanted the surgery! I don't really tell him how much I weigh now, but he knows how much I have lost...he is a smart man...he can do the math!
  24. I travel a lot too...I have been drinking the Adkins Advantage drinks. They only have 170 calories, 1 gram of sugar and 18 grams of protein! The are in a can, so they travel very well. Easy to shake up and poor over ice in a meeting!

    Good morning all you fabulously positive people! Everyone's posts sound so good!!!! Add me to that list! Big deal for me this morning.... received my monthly visitor BUT hopped on the scale and 1.5 lbs. gone!!!! :clap2: That has NEVER happened! :cry :confused: I am usually guaranteed a 3-5lbs. gain!
