    HUGE NSV!

What a great story! Congrats! I think it's so amazing that you are so active.

    Need some advice....

I have not personally experienced this but I am so sorry! You can do this! I do urge you to really reconsider your habits. This surgery will not stop you from having an appetite or eating more, YOU will stop you. The fistula is a horrible complication but only you are responsible for any weight regain, before or in the future. There are countless times I want to eat more and can physically eat more.. But have to restrain myself. I'm not perfect either, but I've learned that this surgery is only a tool. I encourage you to look into your future and how this time will be different. Keep us updated! Good luck!

    Post-op no holding back

Great Job! This surgery has been a huge blessing for me. Now is the time to start planning your new life, meal options, scheduling, meal planning, etc. You have to stay vigilant. You can do this!
  5. Before, 240 lbs After: 157 as of today and roughly 6.5 months post op. Happier than I've ever been. Will never go back.
  6. Be strict. Eliminate soda all together. It will just make you crave sweet treats!

    HELP NEEDED

I was having issues getting goods down and was throwing up a lot. My PA put me on omepramazol to heal the esophagus. Within days I have been able to tolerate 99% of things! I am only throwing up once in a while and I am about 12 weeks out. Consult with your surgeon.

    Jealous and Frustrated :(

I'm sorry, I totally understand. My insurance company fortunately did not require this. But I will tell you, truly try to use this time to eat smaller portions and wrap your head around the surgery. It comes with huge emotional consequences and you will succeed if you're prepared. It sucks, but try to use this time as wisely as possible.

    Feeling blue

Have you found a way to visually account for all of the lbs lost? For example I buy myself a pretty fake flower for every 10 lbs lost. As the bouquet grows I can visually recognize that I'm making changes. You need to be proud of what you've done so far, it will push you to continue to stay focused! Are you using myfitnesspal or anything? Gotta stay on it!

    You can do it

    Yay!

    Post Op Help

You won't physically need someone, but I'd say you will def need him emotionally. One or two days is a good idea.
  13. Just curious how you or your surgeon determined the magic number. Please share!
