    Confused about restriction

    I felt All of this in the beginning and wondered if I was OK or was this Normal. Well, this site Helped me a lot! Sleeved in Nov. 18 and had terrible Gas, almost couldn't sleep lying down. Tums and Prilosec helped me through it. Now I'm fine, unless I eat too fast or lay down too soon after I eat. And Yes, moving around helps/ standing too. I was told...WATER FIRST, PROTEIN SECOND, and small amount of food if you can. I also ate a lot of Popsicles, sugar free fudge bars, apple sauce. Trust...IT GETS BETTER.

    Pre op diet frustration!

    Hello, the same thing happened to me but Trust...it will come off! And I had NSV (non-scale-victories), my Clothes...had to get New wardrobe in my second week. Surgery was 11/18/14 and I don't weigh until Doctors visits..GET OFF THE SCALE!

  4. Me too. I stalled but had Doctor appt yesterday and lost 7 more pounds. But I will not weigh anymore for another month...scale is used here.

    Where are the November Sleevers?

    I just do extremely light for my legs and upper body. I didn't do weights until my 3rd week. No more than 20lbs.

    Upper Arm Flabby Skin

    Hello, I brought 4lb wt and use them on my arms along with Upper Body weight training at the gym...however I still see flab. Even smaller women seem to have this problem...hard area to tone.

    Losing so fast is freaking me out a little!

    Yeah...everyone's right. Its almost a month for me and I hit that 3wk stall so I DO NOT WEIGH! I continue to workout everyday 1hr Cardo/ 2dys wt training. And like they said, I SEE IT IN MY CLOTHES!

    Throw out the Scale! I weigh once a month or you can do twice a month but the scale will DEPRESS You! Are you working out? Push up your routine.

    Awwh...DON'T let anyone get you Down!!! Your doing Great, no matter if you nothing for the month...it will come off. I am a slow looser too even with a 5dy / 1hr workout. The one thing I know is that I'm not going backwards! My weight before surgery was 200 on 11/18/14 today I'm 187. But I'm not worried...I'm just going to keep on pushing through. And, muscle weighs more than fat.

    Yes...I work out 5 days a week which includes: 1 HR. Carson, 2day weight training. Surgery was 11/18/14.

    My Consultation

    Don't worry I had six month and I hated it at first, but it prepared me for the Reality of it all and I'm happy for that.
  13. Yeah...had sleeve 11/18/14 and I'm loosing slow, but I STOP weighing and I know I'm loosing a lot of inches. I work out 5 dys a week for 1 HR. So I know I'm coming down by my clothes.

    Do you notice how much others eat?

    OMG...I thought I was the only looking at people's food...just like a Dog!!! I HATE DOING THAT, in fact going to restaurants is kinda DEPRESSING! HAD SURGERY 11/18/14...don't know what to eat when I go out...I think it's still too early!

  16. Blood Pressure...Right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing?? My surgeon says he doesn't deal with B/P and my PCP doesn't seem to know a lot about the Sleeve...What the H---! I was on 2 blood pressure meds and was told Not to take them. Now I had my visit with PCP and he didn't put me back on them. My range is between 140/90 and sometimes its 124/74...I DONT GET IT!
  17. I know how you feel. I was kinda low. The day of surgery I weighed 200lbs. and that was on Nov. 18th and last week I weighed 194. Well I've just started ( last week) hitting the gym and this week I've pushed it to 1hr. Cardo 5 dys wk and 2dys light weights. Its moving Slow for me too. But I've always heard ( even without surgery ) the heavier you are the more you loose. Just keep chipping away at it and you will begin to see results. I feel like I'm loosing a lot of inches. It will get better.

    Hating that I told my friends from college

    This is so true! I didn't start off telling anyway until I got closer to my surgery date, and then I was excited...thinking my coworkers would feel the sameway for me. HECK NO!!! I got...Your too Small for surgery...my PC even said to me that I probably wont get approved because I'm too small! I told him...IN THE NAME OF JESUS I WILL BE APPROVED AND I WILL NOT BE ON ANY DIABETIC MEDICINE OR B/P MEDICINE! He said well just don't be disappointed when NONE OF THAT HAPPENS...EVEN IF YOU HAVE THE SURGERY YOU MAY STILL BE ON YOUR MEDS! I SAID!!!! ...IN THE NAME OF JESUS I WON'T!!!! I had my surgery 11/18/14 and I'm Med FREE... HIGHEST WT. 230 NOW 194......THANK YOU LORD! I saw my PC last week in my NEW SIZE 14 JEANS and said...HOW YA LIKE ME NOW!!!! LOL DONT WORRY ABOUT OTHERS PRAY AND ASK GOD TO BE YOUR ADVOCATE!
  19. I began my journey back in March, had my surgery, November 18, 2014 and it is the BEST! TOOL YES! WORK OUT YES! CHEAT YES! (BUT I GET RIGHT BACK UP AND KEEP IT MOVING!) Insurance took care of mine too. Highest wt. 230 / 194 last weigh in. I only weigh once o month...it keeps my sanity. lol

    Great! But don't hang on to the pain Meds the quicker you get out and get moving the better you will feel...it does get better.

    Feeling Horrible- PLEASE READ

    Yeah...Girl, been there! No noodles for me said Doc. But I went back to Strickly Pureed food or Organic Baby food. I realized I was also eating too Fast! But yesterday I had to by Prilosec crushed it and I felt better.
