  1. Be honest and answer any medical question they have about the operation. When I decided to get my sleeve I didn't anounce it to the world but when friends and co-workers knew I was going into the hospital for three days I told them why. Now when people notice I have lost weight I don't offer an explaination but if they ask how I did it I don't lie. You wouldn't believe how many people told me they had friends and relitives who had bariatric surgery after I told them about mine. I had no idea so many people were having this procedure because no one ever talks about it. If everyone who had it done would be honest it wouldn't be so "in the closet" and people who need it would not be too ashamed or too scared to get a life saving operation. Help get it "out of the closet", tell the truth.
  2. I was sleeved mid-Nov. and also had no problems other than gas, some soreness for two weeks and tired for a month. The only time I have had problems eating is when I eat too much too fast. I love hot/spicy food and have no problems eating them. I don't crave sugary foods so I haven't tried those yet. I am sure at some point I will be confronted with the perfect cookie and give it a try. At 60 years old I had never been in the hospital before my sleeve operation and was very nervous about going through this. I can't believe how easy the process was and how happy I am that I finally did it. I am not losing as fast as some, 22 pounds in 7 weeks, which could be do to my age, but the scale is going in the right direction and I feel so much better. Getting the sleeve is the best decision I have ever made, I only wish I had done it 10 years ago.
  3. Try GNC pro preformance 60. Three scoops in a glass of water is 60 grams of protien. Drink one of these in the morning and you have your protien for the day. Then the rest of the food/drink is just a bonus. Most of the flavors are not that great but the chocolate is good. I'm on foods now but still have a glass of this in the morning and will continue for the rest of my life to make sure I always have enough protien.

    Variety

Swanson makes flavored broth. They have flavors such as Tortilla, Hot&Sour, Cajun, chicken Tuscan. These add a little variety and I put a scoop of unjury chicken Soup in with them to get protien. Yasso yogurt bars which can be found in the freezer section. I like the vanilla carmel, choclate and strawberry. Dannon 80 calorie yogurt is very good. I take half of a yogurt and put it on top of 1/2 of a sugar free Jello cup. banana yogurt and cherry jello is yummy. If you crave spicy a v-8 virgin mary is good: 1 cup v-8, hot sauce, lime juice, celery salt, worchester sauce and pepper G2 gatorade and iced tea with fresh lemon is my go to drink.
