  1. I am really concern after talking with my bariatric nurses and was told that your body reset itself 18 months after surgery. Although I have been working out, watching what I eat and calorie intake; I am no where my goal weight or the 100 mark almost 1 year post op. For the love of GOD, i will not give up because it is not an option. I have come to far to turn back now. I pray that God conyinue to give me the strength and motivation i need to this new journy.

From all the research I have done online as well as people in my support group at the hospital...weight loss can continue to occur up to THREE years post op...it's all what you put into it

It may get harder, but it doesn't mean you can't still lose. Your malabsorption levels do not remain as high but your stomach is still smaller. So it is still much easier than pre-op, but not as easy as the first 18 months to 2 years.

    Don't know my size...

I perfectly understand what you are talking about. I have lost 75lbs since my surgery and my clothes are very big,I started to feel and look dumpy in my old clothes. I would highly suggest is to go and try clothes on just to see where you are in size. Don't be hard on yourself and tale one day at a time. Also don't measure your weight loss success by someone else's weight loss success. Keep up the great work.

    SLOW LOSER

I'm eating right at a 1000 calories/ day, sometimes less and maybe that's some of the reason I'm probably not losing the weight like i should. My doctor wants me to eat 3 meals a day but that is really hard for me since i work second shift.

    Probiotics

Does probiotic help with losing more weight for people who has had gastric bypass surgery? I read a study online and i wondered if someone has tried it and it really works as the study claimed.
  16. After getting such positive encouragement from those who read my last post. I went to my 6mos post op doctor's appointment and left feeling depress, he told me that i had lost 70lbs since surgery and that was really great but then went on to say that i should have lost a 100lbs. Totally depress!
