What do you do with your old fat clothes?
jpg1110 replied to Pac-woman's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I sold mine on local Plus Size Facebook groups. Check and see if there are any in your area -
Less than a month and a half. Had our initial appointment in the beginning of October and had the sleeve November 12th.

I went through that process and it was very fast! I am so pleased with them and my results so far. So many people have the hernia, so I bet you will, too. Good luck!
-
My highest weight was 271, also. I went through True Results and had Dr. Marsden in Richardson. I've lost 70 as of this morning! We are close by each other, so please let me know if you need any support!!
-
I had the blues for quite a while. Bariatric Pal kept me sane . I'm here if you need some support! I know it's not easy right now, but you will make it through.
-
Congrats! I know you have been waiting a while!

I had mine on a Wednesday and went back the following Tuesday. I was just worn out at the end of the day for a while.

Less than 1 week pre op and beginning to get nervous...
jpg1110 replied to graceday32001's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was very nervous! It's a big change, and I just wanted it to be over with. It's normal, and you will be on the sleeved side before you know it! -
Hiatal Hernia Repair/Gerd After Surgery
jpg1110 replied to Lindsey Skinner Abbott's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My reflux is a lot better after the hernia repair. I still am taking Prilosec for a few more weeks, also. -
Love that idea!! Thank you, I need to switch it up!
-
I started drinking it week 8 post-op. I missed it!!
-
Coffee! I found some really great sugar free creamers that taste really good. It helps when I'm craving something sweet and does not have many calories.
-
You got this! Before you know it, you'll be post-op feeling great!!
-
I was sleeved November 12th, down 27 from surgery date and 45 total. In a stall due to the holidays, back on track tomorrow!

Thank you! Premier is the only protein I use! -
Me and Artificial Protein are NOT Getting Along
jpg1110 replied to MyssJones's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I agree with the Premier Protein comment. The powdered ones make me so sick to my stomach and Premier is the only kind that I can tolerate. It's easy, too, to just grab one out of the fridge! -
@@proudgranny I am also from Syracuse (Cicero), but now live near Dallas

I am 16 days out from surgery and down 31 pounds from pre op until today. I took my younger son to the playground today and was able to keep up with him the whole time! Climbed up, down, around everything and even slid down all the slides (I would not have fit before) and never once was out of breath. It was an amazing day. I never thought something that little could make me feel this good. My sons are a big reason for my surgery, I want to always be there for them. Today made me realize that I can do just that!!

Thank you for putting my exact feelings into such a great post!

I also teach Kindergarten and went back to work this Tuesday after having my sleeve last Wednesday. I did not sit at all my first day due to discomfort, but it got easier as the week progressed. As far as energy, taking a B12 supplement helps me a lot! I usually sit for a little bit to relax when I get home from work and then I'm good to go! Good luck to you!
