Tomorrow is my egd. What's the purpose of it? Is it to assure the liver is small enough? How will I feel after? Does it hurt?

Hi! My surgery is tomorrow and I'm a bundle of nerves today. I'm worried about being put under. Can anyone help me with that? Just let me know how it goes, the process and such? Thanks

And do they put the tube in after you get into the OR? Sorry for so many questions. I'm already an over analyzer, have anxiety and now I'm just scared lol!

Was you husband(or whoever) allowed with you up until they wheeled you back? And did they give you anything before being sent back?

And they won't allow pictures of any kind. My hubby got in trouble for taking pics of my csections lol.

What sucks is its all rushed for me this week. My surgery is scheduled for Saturday. So if anything comes up, it'll be postponed.

I am now. It was just so hard on vacation.

So, I started my pre-op diet on the 22nd. We left for a week long vacation the 23rd and got back this morning. I lost 6lbs! I didn't stick exactly to my diet though I didn't over do it or eat anything terrible. My scope is Tuesday and I'm freaking out that I messed up. Help?

I mainly did a protein shake and bad for breakfast and lunch. A ton of water. Then for dinner Id have an unsweet tea and I'd find something at the restaurant that I could eat. Like, veggie fajitas or a salad.

Day 1: Im starving. Have made 2 meals for the kids and didn't even lick the peanut butter off the knife from their sandwiches. These shakes are really good. Not chalky tasting. The bars are....well, not fantastic. I'm wondering why my pre-op diet had to be so sweet? Why don't they offer a protein bar that is savory? -

Oh! This diet the dr put me on is a bar and a shake for breakfast and lunch. And a meal of 5oz of lean meat and 2 cups of veg for dinner. For 2 weeks.
