In it for the long run

Hello,
My name is Cindy and I am from Prince Edward Island, Canada.  I asked my doctor to refer me to a surgeon back in 2008 and finally got a call in April 2014 for a consultation.  Went for the consult and they sent me home with an assessment to fill out and bring it back when they have the Information Session.  I got a call last week finally and the session is on Dec 2.  I was really thinking about not going ahead with it but I said the heck with it I waited this long, so I am going.  The surgery that is covered by insurance would be the sleeve.  To tell you the truth, I will probably know more after I attend the session.  I approached a girl at work that I know had it done and had a great chat with her and she told me about this website.  I have struggled since I was in my early 20's always on some kind of a diet ie. Weight Watchers, Herbal Magic, Ideal Protein, the Fast Metabalism diet etc.  My heaviest is 224 but I have been, with the help of Ideal protein, to get down just under 200 lbs. I am a very outgoing and extroverted person and love chatting; not shy and I am generally pretty open.  I am looking forward to meeting new people that has had the surgery and are in the same boat awaiting it.  I am 7 years old and love life.
