Crayon67 do you have protein shakes etc to get your ptotein in? Or maybe I need to ask what protein requirements does your Dr have? I just feel I need to switch it up to step up my weight loss.

I was sleeved on 3/27. I lost 22 lbs the first month. But stalled for a couple weeks and only 27 lbs to date at 7 weeks

I would like to connect with others sleeved on the 27th or the day before or day after. I think it would be helpful to be encouraged etc by others that are in the same stage.

That is concerning about the blood scare. is there anything you can do at home to guard against a reaccurance?

It has been a challenge to get down my 64 oz of deluded juice or gatoraide. My top was 48 oz. The sweetness makes me nausea. So I am looking forward to drinking water on Fri with pureed diet. I would say the gas was the major issue for me also. It went up into my shoulders and neck, painful. Yesterday I was thinking that it is a little better.

They were running behind on surgeries so I didn't get to surgery until 2:45 and to a room about 8:30. Rough 1st night not much sleep and then got very nauseous for the rest of the day. Today, so far so good.

I am sleeved tomorrow, getting a little nervous. You only stayed one night, they told me to plan on 2. What did you take to hospital and what did you wish you would have taken?

When were you able to start taking the biotin in pill form? I am taking them now, but I think the pill will be to large right after surgery. Just trying to get all my ducks in a row before surgery Thanks for your input in advance

I am getting sleeved March 27th in MN. Excited to finally reach this point, it seemed so far away when I started the process.

Great, you didn't have to delay your surgery. Take care of yourself and get over that crud that you have. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Mclorrie, are you having your done in Des Moines? I am just across the border in Mn, and I am going Rochester.

Got notified that I have insurance approval today. Now to feel out work and see when would be a good time span to be gone. I am still not wanting to share with my coworkers what I am having done, just don't want their input and some will feel I am taking the easy way. We all know that this is just a tool not a "easy cure".

Just got the news today that I was approved by insurance!!! Now to feel out work for a time span to be gone and then I can get the surgery date set. Excited and a little nervous. How did your appt go HappiTam?

I am waiting for approval from insurance, submitted on Jan 9th. Does anyone have fed bcbs? And if they do, how long was the wait for approval.

Check to make sure they recorded your height right as that is what gave me a lower bmi in 2013. But could show that I was a inch shorter the next week thru Dr records, so I was above the 35 bmi.

Happy Tammi, My insurance just got sent in for approval on January 9th. We didn't file on the 18th of devember as their was an error on height 18 months ago that had me an inch taller, so waited and got that straighten out before filing. My insurance requires an bmi of 35 for two years and medical issues. So did you do your classes in WI or how does that work? Good to hear from you and look forward to keeping on touch thru this journey!!

Thanks, I enjoy everyone's comments, just thought it would be helpful to connect with others using the same facility and Dr's I have my meeting with my surgeon on Dec 18th, then wait for insurance approval. So hopefully in January
