Me too! I'm a ball of nerves. Had a rough day with pre-op diet yesterday. Was feeling very weak and emotionally a mess. How is everyone that's getting sleeved tomorrow holding up? Am I the only one feeling this way ? -
Hi everyone. My surgery is on the 17th and started my pre-op liquids today. It wasn't so bad during the day but since I'm working the graveyard shift, it's been difficult tonight. I'm hungry and want to chew on something. I only have a total of 6 days of full liquids and one of clears. Does it get easier?

Disappointed insurance denied
TriRN11 replied to Mz. NuNu's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm sorry to hear about the temporary denial. Just think of it as a hurdle. Definitely appeal again! Don't give up. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be to go through all of the appointments and nutrition counseling, and of course the hopes and dreams of what this will bring to your life. Please don't let this get you down. Do you have sleep apnea? Maybe getting a sleep study/ sleep apnea diagnosis would help your case. I hope everything works out for you. -

Day 8?! How long is your pre-op diet for? Mine is only a week long and I don't know how I'm going to do it. I'm afraid that if I'm having a hard time making it through day one, how will I do it post op? I work overnights and so I feel cheated of meals since I was up all day and having to stay up until 8 am. ???? -

What Was Your Final "straw That Broke The Camels Back"
TriRN11 replied to bigjoe102's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I am so glad to have found this forum. Like many of you, it was a compilation of reasons that "broke the camel's back". I took my niece to a Water park and I couldn't go down the slides due to the weight limit. I couldn't explain to a ten year old that aunti was too big, so I lied and told her that I was afraid of heights. Later on that week, I went to a concert with my sister and couldn't fit in the seat. That was it! I had enough. Although I am aware of the statistical amount of obese people in the world, I didn't realize how many shared my same struggles. It brings me comfort to know that I am not alone. I wish you all success in your WLS endeavors and may all of you reach your goals and enjoy every bit of life at concerts, water parks, roller coasters, and dressing rooms! -
Thank you for the tip! Do you use vitamin water zero?

How was the melon and coconut? I think there are two tea flavors. The green tea/lemon which is considered clear and is caffeine free. There is also a black tea that does not have caffeine.

I'm pre-op and have been trying out different stuff. I think the green tea and pineapple/banana Isopure clear liquid protein taste the best. As much as I love mongo, their mango flavored one was awful. I've heard that the coconut one was decent.

What is everyone NOT going to miss after sleeve?
TriRN11 replied to alexsisv's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Went to a concert in August and couldn't fit in seat and had to request a change. How embarrassing that was. Luckily I was with my sister! I won't miss that! I also won't miss not being able to shave my legs with a belly that gets in the way! -
Wishing you best of luck today and a speedy recovery!
