Hello, I found Bariatric Pal while looking for stories to encourage me on my decision to have the WLS, gastric sleeve. I have the same similar story as everyone else, overweight my whole life. Born with a sweet tooth being the daughter of a baker and chef. Struggled so many times with losing large amounts of wt but regained it so quickly again. Had a stressful job and like to reward myself making it through the day with lots of my favorite goodies. Depressed, I went crying to my doctor and said that I was tried of feeling this way and asked for her help. My doctor helped me by sending me on the path towards bariatric surgery. I was accepted for surgery due to my pre existing conditions of rheumatoid arthritis and hypertension. I lost 45 lbs with diet and excercise over the last six months prior to my surgery date. The doctor was very pleased with the wt loss and will precede brith surgery next week. I am recently retired so that eliminates a lot of obstacles that many other people face. I am praying for the skills and determination needed to succeed in my journey. I hope to be encourage by the stories and sucess updates on this blog site. Thank you all for sharing. God Bless
