The Fitbit is great. I've been an avid user for years. Got my hubby involved and now we challenge each other.

Name something strange and super unhealthy that you used to eat before weight loss

Any potato chip and an entire container of dip. Or horseradish/cheddar "pub cheese". I could eat that on a spoon. -
I'm So Depressed! Weight Loss is So Slow!
DivaSue replied to sukik's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm one week out today. I'm not having too much trouble with the Protein. I was shocked to be down 10 lbs today. I find the savory chicken Soup powder protein mixed with warm Water goes down well and is thin. Today I did too much. I did some light holiday decorating then had a nap. Hen I ought I'd go to the store to get two items. I was so pooped I left the store without finishing and came home for a nap. -
What is everyone NOT going to miss after sleeve?
DivaSue replied to alexsisv's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I won't miss not fitting on rides at the amusement park. I won't miss the snide comments and back handed compliments...oh have you lost weight... Every time! I won't miss hiding from cameras. Next year we're doing a family photo for our Christmas card. -
Hang in there Susan! You aren't alone!

I hate to hear that some are hurting so much. I'm now day 6 and doing well. I have lots of gurgles. It's weird, I have pain only when I'm hungry, then I have a bit of Protein and I feel better. I think a lot has to do with the protein I'm using. I'm allergic to nutra sweet and can't stand the taste of artificial sweeteners. I've been using Jarrow vanilla and chocolate really good and unjury chicken Soup. That's the best. Also sugar free Jello with vanilla Protein powder. Really good. The recipes say to use unflavored. But that is nasty.

Was 12/1. Now home and recuperating. It went really well.

I'm in agreement with most here. The idea of a foreign object or rewired plumbing didn't appeal. The sleeve seemed like the way to go. I'm day 3 post-op and really doing well.

I had the same thoughts. I did my will before my surgery, just in case. My husband was also worried. I was sleeved on Monday 12/1. Everything went very well. I came home yesterday and I'm doing OK. I walked my daughter to the bus this morning. Then I took a nap. Coughing and sneezing is really painful, but so far I'm not needing the pain killers. I'm saving them.
