I Have A Wonderful Husband !!!
ajoneen commented on ajoneen's blog entry in Watch out life, here I come!!
Today my husband surprised me with a trip to Bermuda. He said that he is so proud of what Im doing that he wants to reward me for all my hard work.:wink2: I think it is wonderful because it is four months away and I will be needing a boost by then, and new clothes. What he doesn't know is that all my summer stuff isn't going to fit and I will be needing to shop for stuff to wear. Woo Hoo. Win Win. (edited 4/8) After thinking about the trip some more,(not that I want to be negative but) it's kind of sneaky, it sounds more like a motivator then a reward. I mean now I really HAVE to stick with this and meet or exceed my goals. He knows I want to look good on those pink sand beaches.:crying: -
enjoylife-WAY TO GO!!!!! I did a little extra dancing for the exercise. HarleyGirl-Shop? What shop? I love shopping. Kerri- I see it in your face and arms too!! Those who are red and itchy- a little benadryl cream maybe? i've been using silicone scar sheets. Keeps the skin moist and is helping with the scars staying flat.

Hi all. first Fenton- thanks for the shout out but I was fine Saturday. I even figured out what I ate(to a point) and logged it. I thought I drank alot but husband said I only had 3 drinks all night(5hrs), I guess the booze affected me more. Now Fenton go see if its raining cause I have girl talk. Anyone else do this? For a while I refused to buy new bras, I just suffered with pushing out of the ones I had. Well I can firmly say I now refit in them. A blessing and a curse. Why is it always the boobs that are the first to go? Lisa I hope you are BBQ free today. I agree with the other posters. Is your sister heavy? Maybe just being open with your new house mates would be helpful. Your health outweighs their comfort. At least for now. OK now Im off to my first Hindu Wedding and more Indian food. I will try to control myself. Since it is Sunday no drinking too. TTFN:tongue2:

Hey all. I just got back from a Garba for my Indian friend that is getting married on Sunday. Wow! I've never been to anything like that. Dancing, eating and drinking . Ya I did them all. a bite here and bite there. Too much drinking. Alot of dancing!!!. Im tippsy and happy and probably not going to like myself in the morning. I don't even know what I ate to log it. O well I had quality of life!!! Night all. A

In Need of a Nap and Other Stuff...
ajoneen commented on enjoylife's blog entry in enjoylife's Journal
sorry about the dog, that was not easy for you (or you daughter) Anything can be mushed. Your not stuck with mashed potatoes. I whirred up some lasagna and it was great. Just don't try blending al dente pasta. If you have unflavored protein powder(unjury) add it at the end of blending to anything to up the protein. Good luck. -
My first NSV! Share yours as they happen!

Im on my own for dinner tonight and I have quite a few leftovers to choose from. In the past I would have heated them all and had a smörgåsbord. I've been good about packing away the leftovers in meal size portions so If I need to grab something I don't have to think. This is working REALLY well for me. I've been breaking down the grocery's too when I get home. Crackers, carrots, beef jerkey in little ziploc bags pre-measured. I've been buying tuna in the single serve cans- a bit more expensive but worth it. So as I wrote over on the March thread. "This is the first week that I feel great, really super. No doubts. Controlling my hunger with my food choices. I have a ton of energy. And best of all "Spring really becomes you. Your cheeks are rosy, and you're looking radiant" from a coworker. What a difference a few lbs make. When I make goal I'm going to be a whole new person!!!":thumbup:(I hope I like me) TTFN comments always welcome:wink2:

Bratz I sorry to hear about your blues. I too was there at about 2wks out(go back a bit to read about me whining). I think there is a lot of stuff changing and you just have to let the dust settle. Once you've wrapped your head around the changes you'll be ok. I received SUPER support on this and other threads. So soak in the good vibes. So keep your chin up, and fake it til you make it.:bolt:

" All of my size 20's and most of my 18's are GONE......forever." way to go Harley. Im hoping when I take my summer stuff down from the attic I will be able to give it ALL away! Wishful thinking. My husband is a speed eater too, but he doesn't budge from 180lbs(he's 6ft). He can also go from sleeping to awake instantly. Very weird. I said it was from all the cat naps on the job. His answer "there is always time for a quality nap" Fenton you will be so happy to hear that the support group I went to tonight had more men than woman, 3:1 .Two guys had been banded for over 2yrs. So there are more of you out there! I felt a little uneasy being out numbered. All they talked about was passing gas. (just kidding)

PS. Ive found that eating with a salad fork makes it look like more is on the fork and not so deprived.

Harley interesting website. I will give it a read later at home(taking a break at work now). I saw on another thread that you are retired LEO. Which branch? My husband is retired Nassau Co PD. As to the animals- I was raised on a farm in Northern Calif(wine country!!) so eating what I raised was normal for me. In fact the first time I had store bought lamb(at 25) I though it had turned (it tasted like plastic). I think everyone should have a real idea where the food they eat comes from, meat and veggies. Fenton- you said something about your cat bumping you that made me laugh- my dog is always poking my elbow to pet her and making me hit a fee extra keys. Animals, can't live without them. Anyone else have a beasty at home that you want to tell us about? OK enough of a break-Payroll is calling me.

Also give wall push ups a try. (then back of couch, then front of couch, then floor on knees, then military style:)

March MASTER THREAD 2: BAND HARD WITH A VENGEANCE
ajoneen replied to Fenton's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
"remember this: "full" is NOT the same as 'not hungry';" I've read this from Jack in a few places. Ive been trying to tune in to my body more to "feel" this. My husband has actually asked if I'm OK because I've got that far away look. LOL. I think there is alot to be learned in that phrase. My Dr said he would not put if a fill until the weight loss stopped and I could prove it wasn't from my poor eating habits. So I've started a food log. Good luck with solids. I've been there for a week now and I'm doing good. No sticking,or PBing. I never knew how much I missed sashimi.
