Yep me too. Keep going. Don't stop. Perhaps you will not lose anything in the next couple of days but you have nothing to lose(but weight) if you keep going. You body will respond. I would look at your diet. If you are restricting yourself too much (under1000) then your body will revolt. If you feeling pain stop. If not keep up the training. Daily. Part of this journey is training your mind. Self talk is powerful. "I will have what I need to progress on this journey" "I will nurture my body with healthy foods" "I am improving my overall health with daily exercise" Good luck!!

I wish I could do step. Everyone looks like they are having a good time. Me I just miss the step and fall. My middle name is Grace, LOL. It's great to have such an enthusiastic group.

You can't pick your family. The changes you are going through take a lot of courage. You are strong!!

writing room?? I've heard that carb addicts can't just eat a few sweets. Once the body gets a taste it just hits em with the unbearable cravings.

OK Im not banded 2 years but I have heard talk about time of the month, time of day and stress all having an effect on the tightness of the band.

minpinmom- Great job getting back to the gym today. It is tough when you don't feel 100%. But you did it and you now know that you can do it again. Just going and taking the first step, them the second, then the third and ..... To all of you who what to take a bow, DO IT! Folks will just think it is part of your routine. I love doing arm stretching where I actually pat myself on the back. Self talk is important. Your subconscious listens. You CAN DO THIS!! You DID DO THIS!!! You WILL DO IT AGAIN, and again, and again. As a wise man has said before me: Just Freaking Do It!!!!!

Have you watched some of the videos on transitions on Utube? Some really good ideas there. Setting your stuff out correctly. Racking your bike. Rolling your socks. I say try cutting time of where you have a little control. The actual race, running, biking , swimming. Get comfortable with your rhythm. Just practice the transitions, so you don't have to think on the day. Do the bare minimum. Get there early and place your bike in the best position. That's all I got.

Very interesting.

I want a glass of wine. But if I open the bottle I will have to finish it at some time(more empty calories) or toss it.

Says the American Heart Association: What is resting heart rate? This is a person's heart rate at rest. The best time to find out your resting heart rate is in the morning, after a good night's sleep, and before you get out of bed. The heart beats about 60 to 80 times a minute when we're at rest. Resting heart rate usually rises with age, and it's generally lower in physically fit people. Resting heart rate is used to determine one's training target heart rate. Go here: Target Heart Rates to figure out your target heart rate. How should I pace myself? When starting an exercise program, aim at the lowest part of your target zone (50 percent) during the first few weeks. Gradually build up to the higher part of your target zone (75 percent). After six months or more of regular exercise, you may be able to exercise comfortably at up to 85 percent of your maximum heart rate. However, you don't have to exercise that hard to stay in shape. Great work everyone!!

That's the spirit! You have a lot on your plate but seem like a women with her head on straight. Some succeed because they are destined to. Most succeed because they are determined to. Good luck on your journey!! Side note- My cholesterol was 324, it is now 194 and going down. That is without prescription drugs, just following band guidelines and exercising. Amanda

Never Underestimate Your Spouse!

What a great story!! And a great guy!!! Regarding your food fears. I to thought that I would 'miss' food and that I would always be on a diet. You're mindset will change. Food will become less important. Trust me. When the band is working correctly (good restriction) you will be eating less and feeling good about it. The kids are a good reason to go through this change. YOU are a better reason. Everything about you will be better ,therefor your relationships will be better. Good Luck on your journey. Amanda -

I LOVE this site. It has really helped with my tri training. -
I've heard good things about the Nike+band. Also I love tech toys, it keeps me interested. Maybe I will get one as a reward for finishing the Tri.

Jonathan did you notice you have some competition for the century mark? Rhonda is coming up on you fast.

So I got a new scale. A nice digital one with big numbers. Small problem. The weight it displays is a bit higher then my old scale. About 4lbs. I'm going to leave my ticker where it is and wait it out until I drop below its current level. I see my Dr today. I don't know if I will get another fill. I'm losing fine and most days I reach the point of satiety. I would have canceled the appointment but I want to touch base with the Dr.. Plus I'm fearful that next week I will lose this restriction and start feeling hungry and then not be able to see the Dr for 6 weeks. So Jonathan if you were going to splurge on chocolate what would you get? I can resist most chocolates but I enjoy a good bit of dark/bittersweet chocolate. Lately its been Scharffen Berger. Im lovin the Roasted Cacao Nibs.
