Penny spill the beans! What is this talk of manuscripts?
-
sharona I just noticed your boobie banana. that is so funny.
-
Yep I'm psyched. I've been having some mind games lately. Thinking I am not ready or will crap out without finishing. But I have a good support system and they are keeping me focused.
-
This is the third person I've heard of this summer drowning at a Tri. I have to keep telling my husband that they were open water and guys. I'm going to be fine cause Im swimming in a pool and Im a girl.(lol)

Lets get the priorities straight. You went down there to write, correct? Did you write? You went to visit good friends. Did you have a good visit? A year ago you probably wouldn't have had a second thought after that kind of indulgence. Today you reevaluated the situation and using your new tool to get back on track. Most of us are struggling to live our normal life. Working, raising kids, and doing our best to stick to the guidelines of the band. None of us are diving into another challenge like you are with the book. Also you started going to the gym. I think that is SUPER!! Gees man give yourself a break. It's not like you gave up.

Tess Im glad to hear you enjoyed the C 2 5k. The music is a bit weird but somehow it keeps you focused and moving forward. To others looking for music to run/walk to I like to set up a playlist looking at the running times of the songs. Then I know when the song changes it is time to change the interval of whatever I m doing. Short ones like Queens We Will Rock You (2:02) and long ones like Pink Floyd's Another Brink In The Wall (3:59) are good for either a hard burst or to catch you breath. Mix it up and good luck.

Don't Quit When you've eaten too much and you can't write it down, And you feel like the biggest failure in town. When you want to give up just because you gave in and forget all about being healthy and thin. So What! You went over your points a bit, It's your next move that counts...So don't you quit! It's a moment of truth, it's an attitude change. It's learning the skills to get back in your range. It's telling yourself, "You've done great up till now. You can take on this challenge and beat it somehow." It's part of your journey toward reaching your goal. You're still gonna make it, just stay in control. To stumble and fall is not a disgrace, if you summon the will to get back in the race. But, often the struggler's, when loosing their grip, just throw in the towel and continue to slip. They learn too late when the damage is done, that the race wasn't over...they still could have won. Lifestyle change can be awkward and slow, but facing each challenge will help you grow. Success is failure turned inside out, the silver tint in a cloud of doubt. When you're pushing to the brink, just refuse to submit, If you bite it, you write it....Just don't you quit!

My Dr required an overnight stay. I didn't need to stay, I was fine and had help at home. The insurance co. is another matter. They did not OK the overnight stay and are not going to pay of it. Dr and Ins are fighting it out. I'm seeing more and more on LBT how folks are not staying over. The final say is your Dr. Good Luck on your journey.

I used the C25k to help train for the Triathlon. It is a great program. You can adapt it to walking too. Just speed up your walk at the run intervals. The music is peppy and gets you moving. I've said this before but if bares repeating. Enell sports bras are super!! Enell Sports Bra - Welcome They come in ALOT of sizes and can also be custom made. It is a wonderful investment in your health. OK commercial over.

I mix my Injury with water.

Chris that is great. I have a Tshirt that says "I tri therefore I am"

I was just looking at my signature line. I have the counter for my weight(of course) plus the count-downs for my trip to Bermuda and the Triathlon. I realized that A: the trip is a gift to me from my husband for taking the steps necessary for better health & B:the Triathlon is a gift to myself for taking the steps necessary for better health. C: if I keep on my current loss rate I will be half way to my goal by the time A & B happen. That is special.:biggrin2:

I think this is very special.

If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything. Yep some folks just don't know when to keep their mouth shut.

I did a Brick today. Thank my lucky stars that my husband came with me, or I would have dropped to my knees and become road kill. My legs were rubber. About a half mile in my legs were pretty ok again. Then my bowels just wanted to let loose. I know that is gross but none the less true. I think it was because it is hot & humid and my first brick. Im not looking forward to that again.

Jessenia It's great that you are approved!! Remember this is a lifestyle not a diet(well there is the pre-op diet). Mostly there are band guidelines. You're going to do wonderfully!!

Man that must have been some heavy baby. LOL
-
I've been to this place before with friends and said I "never wanted" to do it myself. That was Bull**it. I always thought I was too heavy and they wouldn't let me. Today I climbed 6 walls more then half way and one to the top. We're talking over 50ft to the top. It was fantastic!!
-
Rock Climbing! Yep I did it.

Precious Blood. Precious Blood: A Novel by Jonathan Hayes
-
Jonathan, sorry to hear about the blah's. I think getting sick is worse then being sick. Very frustrating. Maybe the change of scenery will help. Are you going to be incommunicado while away? I don't think we could handle that. The Shamrocks will all go into Fenton withdrawal. But we will understand for the sake of the sequel. Hugs, feel better.

Welcome Niki, OK so dish. What is going on in your life?
-
Sounds like he will need some time to sort this out. It is a big change for him too. That being said his actions and words are very frustrating. I feel for you. It looks like you might be needing to find your primary support somewhere else. Good Luck on your journey. Amanda

I went rock climbing for the first time tonight. It was fantastic!! I never would have done this a year ago. Perhaps not even a month ago. I'm a 3%er

The view of the other folks was a bit weird too. Those straps cut into everyone. I was in the L one and there were XL & XXL. I had pizza tonight too. Buffalo chicken, yum. Thanks. You've been a bit quiet lately. I hope all is well and it is because you are spending all your time writing Hard Death.
