@@KSTUZ Ugh how did you lose so much weight so fast? This is what I'm dying over. I just want to lose that 100lbs and I can't seem to keep up the steady weight loss. Must be cause i still eat everything, dilemma, dilemma. I'm glad so many are doing so well and I seem to look better to myself if I don't take a pic. When I take the pics I feel fatter! So I'll take my next pic at 9 months instead!

Good time to get to some meeting when those words pop up. I have to and it stinks but hang in there most of us go through this here and there! -
How Do You Get Over the Guilt?
Veronica Page replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Only guilt I have ever felt was not having it sooner and gaining control over my life much much sooner. Wish I could of done it alone but I'm not feeling guilt for finding a tool to help me in my journey to a long and healthier lifestyle. -
I'm an admitting food addict but in that addiction my was the sugar. So I went and still go to therapy. I learned how to cope with it and how to avert my attention to something else when I really want it and to try to understand why I have such a need for it, Its tough and since I have kids in my house and other family members I can't be selfish and say they are not allowed the occasion treat here and there. My addiction to things is not their fault so I locked it up in a pantry and don't have access to it. Its a fight that I hope I can win and while I love my sleeve and I'm so grateful I've done so well with it I have to remind myself that everyday I need to keep working at it and when I feel like I'm about to slip I need to get back to my therapy and figure out why I want to. Good luck to you and your struggle I definitely know what it is like to kick the habit.

anything that is of basic no nutritional value and does not fill you up. Popcorn, corn puffs, cheetos, anything really moist. That's why it is important to do Protein first above everything. You are suppose to feel that constriction in your stomach

Hate chewable multivitamins
Veronica Page replied to sleeve4086222015's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ever try GNC vitamins they are like Starburst and taste decent. I was taking chewable vitamins and hated the chalky after taste and gummies hurt my teeth. Just a thought, good luck! -
I totally agree with washing clothes in vinegar. If you have a HE washer you put the vinegar in the cup you'd put the bleach in, My one pants use to get that way and that seem to solve the problem

What do you guys think I'm doing wrong?
Veronica Page replied to Veronica Page's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Colorado. Actually moving to this state is what made me decide to finally get the weight off. Everyone here is so outdoorsy and even though that has not changed with me and I still don't like the hiking and biking I just don't like the looks of disgust i get when I'm heavy. -

Yea maybe I will see if I can increase my calories! -
SO yesterday I was sitting on the couch and just turned to my husband and said I just want to quit and give up. I don't want to go to the gym, I don't want to watch what I'm eating, and I could care less if I lost another pound but since I'm not who cares anyways. I don't know why I felt like that. I was just tired of all the calorie counting and work outs and endless obsessing over it because changing your addiction of food is not something you can just say ok I'm done with over eating. Its like any addiction you have to constantly keep it in check. I could slip at any moment and gain weight with grazing and eating sliders and what not. MY husband is so kind and really is a gentle man, gets up off the couch and stands in front of me and slapped me, I was like WTH was that for. He said I just wanted to slapped some sense back into place. It worked, I was like what was I thinking? So I got over my cry baby moment and now understand why I did all this. So I could live and be a mom to my kids and wife to my husband and a happy person for myself! I do think it is ok to have these moments though and unlike some of you I have so much more to lose but I'll get to my goal weight and feel like I really accomplished something great!

Plantar Fasciitis
Veronica Page replied to The Candidate's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Oh my goodness you think me being in orthopedics I would have remembered to properly stretch my feet before a heavy work out and avoid getting this. I got right into the work outs and had the problem from the get go. For the past two months those I get a water bottle fill it half way and freeze it and after my morning work out I roll my foot and heel over the frozen bottle to help ease the pain and get on with my day. SUPER important to stretch before a long work out and don't be barefoot until the pain subsides. A lot of people tend not to wear shoes at home I wear my all day except to shower and sleep basically. Good luck to anymore who is suffering from this. Never had it before surgery. Then again I wasn't working out or on my feet too much! -

Yea my Protein intake is around 70-80g a day I think it would be a lil bit more but unfortunately I can't process much meat anymore so I have to get it where I can. My Nut doesn't want me to just have shakes but more solid Proteins and if I choose to have to many veggies and legumes ect that provide me with more then I'm in-taking to many carbs. So I get what I can from canned chicken and tuna and some fish and eggs. That's about all I can eat otherwise I tend to just throw it up. I have tried eating it slower, in smaller quantities not much has worked. -

Well you guys are probably all right. I have been eating some useless carbs. I should cut back on those for the next week and see if that is my downfall! You guys are so helpful THANKS! -
lol I hate you guys who don't need to work out. I took a week off due to a sprain and gained 4lbs ridiculous lol

lol I'd love to say I'm doing something wrong since most of you are near goal but I guess we all just lose differently. I slip here and there and drink and eat things that I'm not suppose to and I'm aware of that but I did not sign up to give things up forever. I signed up to learn how to eat the right amounts. Place a good foundation for working out and eating right. I never said I was going to give up the occasional things that I use to love. Just agreed that in order to change i was going to have a cookie instead of 6 or 8. Or 4 oz of steak instead of 12. Everything is ok in moderation and while I might not reach goal as quickly I know it will be a more realistic way for me to get there. I hope you guys are having a great week and try to enjoy the holiday weekend!

Wow 100 lbs already and you just had your surgery in March? lol Makes me wonder what am I doing wrong? Well Congrats and I will not lie and will say I'm totally jealous!
-
I was stalling out quite a bit and really kicked up the work outs. So instead of working out three times a week I work out 6 days a week and doing some weight training 4 of those days. I lost 10 lbs this month which was my goal. Plus I realized that some days I had to eat more and some days I did not. I think it kept my body from getting use to the food amounts and workouts! Good luck...yes stalls are annoying but we need our bodies to adjust time to time and we will make it through them.

Carbonation is my enemy still and I'm almost 6 months out. I took a tiny sip and man did that suck. I wouldn't even attempt it for some time. The discomfort is killer and while Beer might taste good you get so lil right now as in calories drinking them is just counter-productive.
