Yea well I guess me flushing out my system did the trick cause I loss those annoying two pounds and then two more! yay and I rehired a trainer and start tomorrow so I can get max weight loss! Oh and note to self I might be half Asian but I think I might be giving up the rice part of my life cause I had ONE same sushi roll and I almost died cause of the rice so I guess I will have to just stick to the shashimi part of my life. Kinda sad but hey small sacrifice!

Didn't see that coming?!$#@!

Sliming is when you have a built up of saliva and you tend to throw it up. It is mostly caused when you drink to close to eating. -
@@uni2424 Its the fitbit aria scale.
-
I use my fitnesspal but I also have a fitbit which I can track my food with as well. Not to mention the to apps sync so there is that benefit too. I'm not even going to lie to say I go further and write it down in a really great food journal I bought. I give this to my nut every two weeks and she makes notes in the margins on what she would like to see change and myfitnesspal is accessible to my trainer at the gym and she tells me her opinions where I can tweak my food here and there to get the best burn. It is funny to use it all but I wasn't obviously accountable for my own health for so long I don't want to fall off the wagon just yet!

Survey - Carbonated Drinks? Do u drink them?
Veronica Page replied to lapnicky's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I kinda had the thought that is I was going to go through this whole process soda or any carbonation was going to just be a no no for the rest of my life. I can't say that I don't miss the weird tingling feeling it use to give me but I gave it up so long ago that I don't think I will ever go back to it and my doctor to stressed that it would stretch my sleeve and that just sends my mind into a spiral to think I would ever gain weight back. I hear so many different things who can tell I think you have to just be cautious and see how you feel and how your body handles it but I think it is kind of a waste of time in my opinion. -
Honestly I have a fitbit and it tracks my walking and food and weight. I splurged and bought the scale too which syncs with the fitbit I wear on my wrist. I love it but I still use myfitnesspal.

Stick to it and if you are allowed an extra shake then drink it. The protein will help with the hunger and when you go for surgery at a lower weight and BMI you will be happy you did. Good luck. Most of us know the feeling!

Well I made a dumb error in eating yesterday. I kept my calories in the 500 zone which is fine but I ate the inside of a burrito and guess it was so sodium loaded that I was actually two pounds heavier this morning. Talk about bumming me out. So I guess I'm going to load the Water in so I can now flush it out. It is really annoying. When we have so lil to eat and something so small can affect us. I get bummed cause I don't ever want to see this scale go up in the next 6 months.

thanks I'll try that out. I actually so have a question for my sleevers. Have any of you been experiencing light headed feeling? I'm going to the doctor on Friday to get some blood work done but my goodness it is really starting to get to me. Just wondering if anyone else was experiencing this. I def eat enough. Thinking it might be my anemia though.

Ok so I went out to eat tonight and had roasted chicken. I had about 4 bites and it was enough but I feel like it is just sitting in my throat. It is the worst feeling. I then want to naturally drink something to wash it down but obviously can't I think this is the worst part of the whole sleeve. I will live but it is uncomfortable. I guess I should of only had 3 bites.

I have been going to Pinterest for ideas but A LOT of it is based on dairy products and don't want to get blocked up again. I still have made some no crust pizzas and had some really good omelettes. I have meats and what not I guess I'm just getting a lil bored cause I'm missing the pastas and breads and some starches. I did just buy a Pasta that is made from veggies so I'm going to give that a go tonight.

So I'm 5 weeks out and having pretty great results so far. I know everything is a learning curve. My concern is that I'm seeing a lot of people saying that they can only eat maybe up to four bites or so maybe a lil more. I'm only noticing this recently that I can eat significantly more then that. I'd even say I can have up to 6oz of food at a time. I guess my question is for people who have been sleeved for quite some time. I know my stomach will never be the size it was but can I possibly have stretched it just a lil bit. I only eat one solid meal a day and still do those shakes and I can effectively drink and def no more sipping is going on, although I can't gulp by any means. I'm just looking for suggestions before I contact my doctor. Thanks!

Feel like I can eat A LOT!
Veronica Page replied to Veronica Page's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know that the giving up soda is a struggle. I think it is for everyone that is truly addicted to the carbonation. I'm surprised your doctor didn't tell you to give it up months ago cause it can be the hardest part of a pre op diet if you are not prepared. I don't miss soda at all myself. I started giving it up 6 months before my pre op and completely went off it a month before. Hang in there though...it DOES get easier. As for those protein shakes....bleh I'm so over them. I now make my own cause the store bought ones are just leaving a terrible taste in my mouth and that after taste makes me sick now. I would try that if you are soooo over them. I just use unflavored protein powder and make it with either soy milk or almond milk and some fruit like half a banana and I don't get that after taste and if I don't like it I have myself to blame. Good luck on your pre op. It is not fun but once you lose a couple of lbs and go for surgery you will be glad you stuck to it! -
My Doctor basically said this is a body reboot. You are going to get the chance to not only lose weight but to also learn how to have portion control and learn what you can eat and what you can't. she does not want me to think that I will never be able to have that slice of cake but to think instead of that huge piece a little slice is o.k. and I will be satisfied. That I will never be able to eat the amount of food I use to be able to get but I will be able to eat it in moderation. I suppose it is an unrealistic expectation for me and for most to think you are NEVER going to have that small slice of pizza again or enjoy that piece of toast. I'm completely willing to give it up for 3-6 months but I want to be able to eat those things again and want to know what my limits are so I don't over indulge. I don't drink soda so that is not a sacrifice to me anymore and I'm willing to forever forgo the sugar. I don't want to live my life missing out on things so I'm committed to the change.

Stick with your diet and don't give in to the head hunger. We all go through it. It stinks and is really boring and hard but what you don't need is to sabotage yourself. I feel that is we start eating unhealthy again now and just keep doing it because we are losing weight then why bother with the surgery? I was DYING for something salty and flavorful when I was on a liquid diet. My post op SUCKED I was clear liquids for 2 WEEKS....2 WEEKS! Then finally full liquids it was a mental nightmare but now I can eat solids and it is pretty great. Just remember your stages and it will be fine. In pureed stage I ate a lot of cream of what soups they were filling and also satisfied my salt and flavor needs! Good luck you are doing great so far!

Feel like I can eat A LOT!

I don't eat bread, pasta, or rice. Its a huge no no with my doctor until 3 months out and I'm not wanting to try it for three reason. ONE....I have a family member who had this surgery 2 yrs ago and lost 150 lbs but was eating bread, pasta and rice as soon as she could. The problem with that is you are eating less and def will lose weight but you are not solving the unhealthy eating habits so she is not only back to her original weight but is about 20-30 lbs heavier. So I joined OE group to talk about my food issues. SECOND. My doctor said I might be able to handle it but it is unneeded food and lose out on protein filling my stomach on carbs and starches. THIRD....I haven't completely learned to range when I'm full and tend to throw up a lot due to it. since those foods expand I think it will lead to a problem for me. I decided to go get 4oz containers and just use those to gauge my food and not eat more then that! -
I'm not even worrying about how many calories I'm getting in cause I'm not even close to 600 calories. I'm not concerned about even getting in snacks cause I'm not getting hungry just eating out of needing to but I'm so bored with everything. We are suppose to have bread or pasta or rice for at least 3 months. My doctor said def no slider foods. So I def can't eat mashed potatoes. Cottage cheese is also a slider food when it comes to me. I spent a good portion of last night looking at recipes on line and got some but still its a lot of things with cheese and i'm worried about getting blocked up again. So frustrating. Plus I noticed that I can eat a whole can of tuna which is only 4 oz and be completely satisfies and eat 2-3 oz of chicken and be STUFFED. So weird but it is whatever. I'm glad to see we are doing the best we can. It is a learning curve! Oh yea I went to the doctor this morning.....31 lbs. since surgery and I'm almost at 6 weeks. AWESOME!

I don't know about you guys but I'm getting super bored with my diet. Anyone have any low carb but not really high in fat ideas. Ive been eating a lot of poultry and fish and soft ground beef and maybe roast beef here and there but I feel like since we are suppose to eat breads or pastas or certain veggies yet that I'm running out of cooking ideas. I was thinking about going and getting a gastric recipe book but I was looking to see what everyone else was eating first.

Feel like I can eat A LOT!

I eat a lot of protein. I still drink portein shakes and don't even eat pasta or bread or anything in that wasteful department. when I eat meat it is chicken or fish cause if it is a tougher meat like pork or beef I actually don't handle it very well and sits like a stone in my stomach. I know i'm eating well so i'm not concerned about that. I guess I was just so focused on how much but I'm glad to know there are others out there that are feeling the same way! Every one here is just awesome and so helpful I don't know where I would be without this site at times! -
@@Eli Alexander I know you are right. I'm going to start going first at the over night then I will make it twice a week during the day. I'll still do my walking cause I feel since I'm using nature force it is a better work out. Hey and I know i'm already beautiful I just want clothes to go with it! lol

Feel like I can eat A LOT!
Veronica Page replied to Veronica Page's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks for all the great advice. I def measure and weigh and what not with my food. I just noticed that I feel like I could have more things then others. I can eat fish fine and some really soft chicken but I can not get soft veggies to stay down. I have definitely slimed and vomited. I think it was due to the first time I in took some solids and it was harder for me to recognize the full feeling. I by the clock 9, 1, and 5 are meals. My two shakes and solid dinner and I have one snack at either 11 or 3 depending on when I'm more active and tend to need something to push me through. I will watch my intake, I was just getting a lil worried! -
@@Eli Alexander AWESOME weight loss. I can see the difference it is sooo clear. I'm glad you are so motivated with you workouts. I'm having a hard time and only get in that long crazy walk but I would love to get more in. I hope it keeps going for you. I'm loving a 2-4lb weekly weight loss. I would of never seen that without this surgery. Kudos!
