    January Sleevers ❄️

    My caloric intake is only over 700 on my days to the gym so 4-5 days a week and as far as the high burst i'm not sure what to do. Everyone i feel is able to run but with the pins in my leg I can't so I'm not sure where to get that hard burn to get my heart rate up. I do the bike for 45 mins and treadmill or elliptical for 45 and then I do some weights for about 25-30 mins. I guess it is just a stall and I will have to be patient. I was feeling SUPER tempted this week with snacking so I locked up the snacks and my husband hid the key. I did the same with the fridge and just use the wine fridge for drinks cause after 7pm who really needs to be eating in my house anyways? I know it sounds drastic but I was a night time snacker and I feel the old urges creeping back in cause I'm not losing any weight and getting discouraged. I truly need this stall to end for me not to tread back into my ole ways!

    Well so I'm guessing nevert lol. Yea I too was told never again should I consider it. I hear people are able to which is their choice but the carbonation can cause sleeve stretching if done over long periods of time.

    I'm hoping that I'm gaining muscle cause my clothes are loose and that is the reason for the stall and lack of weight loss since muscle weighs the same and is just leaner. I'll take that as well but I'd really like to see those numbers drop just a lil bit. I get super jealous of the people who lose 100lbs in 6 months but I guess we can't all be like that. It is frustrating to know that we start out losing so much and then it is a slow loss all of a sudden. I don't want to kill myself at the gym cause I already work 12hrs a day and then to go to the gym for two hours with kids and spouse. I just can't imagine pushing myself anymore. It will come off when it does I suppose. glad to see so many of you are still on this site since it help to have the support. I went to my food addiction group it is just weird at times. I feel like I'm talking about food more now then ever. Congrats to everyone who is losing weight and really trying. It is hard but I suppose we all needed it.

    Working out?

    I just started working out two months post op cause I would just about pass out if I pushed it. My doc did recommend a bike cause it was less exerting but honestly I would not worry about it until you are feel up to the task. Now I'm on solids I work out 4 times a week doing 90 mins of cardio and 30 mins of weights. I only eat about 400-600 calories a day but it is better to get your nutrition from solids then liquids! Good luck!

    My stall is killing me and my doctor told me the same thing once a month....I said HA yeah right. So I locked it up in a closet and gave the key to my hubby so every Monday I will weigh myself instead of daily. I have been working out and watching what I eat so I hope that it does move even if just a pound by next Monday!

    Yea I can think of a couple of reasons myself and I too will try to def go back to basics and see where my problem is. I have stalled about for about 5-6 days myself. I hope it works out for you cause I'm ok right now if it does not move. Well kinda. I have no idea how I would even remotely burn 1700 calories working out but I do manage about 500. Since that is my daily intake caloric wise I think its enough for me otherwise I might pass out!

    Had a lot of salt yesterday and it showed up on the scale today in a 4lbs difference. Well guess I need to flush it out and learn my lesson, ugh I feel bloated!

    Meh! i hate my scale!

    Eh don't even look at the scale but once a week. Weigh in naked and after your first pee. Sometimes the pound gain is water retention. Do you realize how much you would have to eat in order to really gain a pound now? it is not only what you eat for the day but 3500 on top of that without you basically moving. If you've had surgery within the past 6 months NO WAY could you get that amount in your stomach. I woke up last week for my weigh in and had a two pound gain. I drank more fluids the next two days reweighed in and it was gone. I know it is frustrating. I NEVER want to see that scale go up again but it is just life. I stalled for 12 days and then lost 10 and now I'm at another stall. There is only so much our bodies can do and we have to be patient. Good luck and I know you will push through this and come out successful!

    Yea I know I do at times and it is killer. If its not the air trapped in my stomach it is the reflux, if it is not that it is the fact I had one bite to many and I throw up. I basically have had to revert back to soft food cause I just can't always seem to handle solids or depends on the solid anyways. I guess it is really just a learning day by day kinda thing. Good luck and if it helps we no longer live to eat but eat to live!
  10. We all have an ideal mental picture of ourselves..if by the time you have gone to bed you aren't closer to that you've wasted your day!

  11. I got the same thing from certain people and it completely angered me. It is not the easy way out. Its a tool. We are sometimes at such a heavy point that in order for us to lose the weight the caloric restriction has to be so low we would starve which would most likely led to a binge at one point or another. Plus we have to restrict everything we eat for the rest of our lives not just until we lose the weight. We are starting all over again. We are have deal with daily temptations and food can be just as addicting as smoking and drinking only more available and harder to break. We have to eat every day to live smoking and drinking we can live without. Don't even worry about others...you do for you and enjoy the journey of getting your life back cause at the end of the day you have to wake up and live with you! Good luck!

    Yea I don't do the barefoot thing. It is not good for every ones arch when working out. I guess it just depends on your foot. We aren't cavemen anymore so with this type of body weight my foot does not like that. I tend to rotate my ankle in an outward motion so I were a cross trainer that helps that issue. I worked out on the bike for 90 mins yesterday. I was tired but it was good. Glad you found something that works for you.

    you can apply for a medical loan. It is the only way I know how. I had to pay out of pocket and that is what I did. Good luck I know how it is!

    Dumping?

    Ugh I just experienced this with foods I was trying. I can't eat any chicken unless it is really ground up or deli. I can't get beef at all and I had a bite of a doughnut my daughter hand made. I mean a tiny bite and it was AWFUL! I was throwing up and my stomach was hurting for hours. Guess it is different what is a trigger for some people!

    HELP!I NEED A LIST OF SLIDERS!

    popcorn and corn puffs, cheese puffs. Anything like cotton candy. Basically food that breaks down very easily has none or lil nutritional value and will not fill you up!

    How much would you of lost without the surgery...ask yourself that and it will total change your perception on the whole thing! Congrats that is an awesome weight loss!

    @@Eli Alexander So with my knee I took advice from my trainer and to strengthen the muscles on the sides of my knees I got a step and just basically put one foot on it (bummed) knee side and push on and off of it for 15 reps then so the other side and it will slowly help out those muscles. I have noticed the difference when I walk up stairs and I used the bike at the gym cause yea its cold outside. Good Luck!

    @@Eli Alexander Have you thought about using a bike? I have a bum knee and couldnt doing the walking. Biked instead and that takes the pressure off my knee. Good job on the weight loss.

  22. It is not uncommon that when someone in the relationship is going through a drastic change that the other partner tends to feel insecure cause they will lose their position in the relationship. I recommend that if you are willing to work it out and confront him about his behavior and comments then seek some counseling. It's tough to deal with such comments when are trying to make a positive change. Keep doing the best that you can, at the end of the day you still have to live with you. Good luck.

    I'm DISGUSTED with myself right this minute. I ate a bit of donut my daughter made. Ugh why why why? I don't even like the smell of sugar so it was weird. I feel kinda sick due to the sugar though so I feel that I won't do it again anytime soon. Bad Roni!

    Injectable B Vitamins

    If you don't have a vitamin B deficiency it is not proven to really help in any way. I take them but I'm lower and anemic so it is needed but you can naturally get it from most fish and meats. Good Luck and hope it works out for you.
