    Ideal size?

I'm 5'11" and currently 303. At my highest I was 323 so I'm down 20 pounds so far (9 days post op). I wear a 22/24. I will be thrilled if I get down to 200 but to be in my "ideal weight" zone I need to get down to 175. As far as size, maybe 12/14? I am tall and big boned so I can't imagine myself ever being in single digits.
  2. Nausea can cause your salivary glands to kick into high gear (have you noticed you start dumping saliva when you're about to throw up? I was super nauseous and dry heaving most of day 3, so I had a lot of saliva production as well. It went away as soon as the nausea did. Could this be it??

    Post op sucks!

@ Lovin Life, I was like you...I had researched but was not prepared for how bad it was. On day 3 I wanted to die. But things started looking up on day 4 and I was actually back to work on day 6. Still short of energy but definitely hanging in there.

    Holiday Challenge!

Is there any chance of joining a week late? I just had my surgery last week.

    I never feel full...

I'm one week out, still on liquids, and I'm STARVING
  6. I bet the new workout regimen will make all the difference! Good luck!
  7. Hey all, I just discovered this forum and I'm having a field day reading everything. My story is below! I had the sleeve done last Thursday, the 6th. My first 24 hours, when I was hooked up to the pain pump, I was fine. I got up and walked with no issue. I was very groggy. However, the second day things started going downhill. I had a severe migraine (not uncommon for me) and the surgeon told me I could take my imitrex as long as I crushed it. WORST IDEA EVER. Shortly after I took it they had to take out my IV because it was leaking into my hand and my hand was huge. They decided to just leave it out since it was discharge day. I proceeded to get deathly ill, laying in the fetal position on the bed with extreme pain and nausea. The nurse said since my IV had been removed there was nothing they could do. I finally just begged to get home and was that sick for the next 24 hours. I was dry heaving every few minutes the whole night (nothing in my stomach to throw up) and horrible cramping in my chest. I told my husband several times that i wanted to die (a bit dramatic, huh??) I should mention that in my surgery I also had a hiatal hernia repair, so maybe that made things worse for me?? Anyway, things finally started looking up on the 3rd day and I've been gradually improving. I actually returned to work today (day 7) and did pretty well. I'm sticking to the liquid diet and have lost 15 pounds so far. Overall, of course I am glad I had the surgery and the few hours of misery were totally worth it. I'm reading that a lot of people did liquids pre-op. Oddly, I had no special diet pre-op except that I was supposed to "eat light" the day before surgery. I wonder what difference the pre-op liquid diet makes?
  8. I had surgery on the 6th. Down 15# so far. Went back to work today , earlier than I would have liked but manageable. Oddly, my surgeon didn't put me on any pre-op diet. I literally are what I wanted until midnight the night before surgery. Odd, right?? So I'm 7 days in on this liquid diet crap but it's going okay. having to take an antacid to sleep at night, otherwise I wake up in a lot of pain.

No pain, no gain, right?
