The only hospital he works out that is in network is out of the metroplex, on the other side of Pilot Point. (for the life of me I can't think of the name of the town.) But the SCOR is aware that they are out of network for UHC and will do the surgery for the In-network price, whatever that price is for your coverage. Like for my UHC/MCI coverage, I am going to have to pay 500.00 out of pocket to the SCOR the day of my surgery. The anesthesiologist (sp) is also out of network and they ARE NOT willing to cut the same deal for the in Network price. They did say they are willing to make payment arrangments. I didn't ask all the right questions upfront and will end up paying more that I needed to. I had finished all my testing and had my approval, before I found all that out. I wasn't willing to start over again. I will just have to bite the bullet. I hope this helps.

Gosh...there are so many things I want to do. I want to start roller skating again. The last time I went, I was so afraid I was going to fall and hurt myself..or worse yet, hurt one of my kids or someone else's that I just didn't have a good time. Wear a killer little red dress with some red stillettos that I am saving for just such a situation. Shave my bikini area without having to use 3 different mirrors angled just the right way. God if anybody was to see me doing that...the embarrassment would make me just melt down the drain. (I will apologize in advance for any nausea that might result from this mental picture. ) lol The cessation of all that rubbing and chafing. I will morn the loss of my DDs, but will console myself with a pretty, dainty bra from Victoria's. Don't worry I will give a little toot of my horn to Lane Bryants as I pass. Yes, those sale's ladies will be crying in their hankies at the loss of income. Go ahead and cry, I won't be back...lol. Weighing less than my DH. Weighing less than my dog...lol..ok..ok..I just threw that in just to see if you were still paying attention. The dog is steady at 80 pounds...that is not where I will end up. There are just too many to list!!!

*sigh* I know how you all feel. My 8 year old started 3rd grade this year and my 2 year old will be 3 in December...it just feels like yesterday I was carrying them. Today though my daughter almost made me cry, she came up and hugged me and said I looked like I had lost a bunch of weight. I just hugged the stuffing out of her and said I will be there soon! KIDS Rock!!!

Kat, talk to your friend and tell her how you feel. If she doesn't say what you want to hear, let her go. Our journey is going to be personal and difficult with battling our own inner demons. We don't need outside forces tearing us down as well. We get that good enough from perfect strangers, we sure don't need it from "friends" as well.

For me personally, I pre-freeze a serving of thin sliced turkey or ham and cut up some raw veggies, as well as some meal replacement bars. I have them in a little cooler with me whereever I go. That way I am always prepared and not caught with something I shouldn't have. No...I am so far from perfect, the devil is wringing his hands just waiting to get his hands on me. However, I am trying to practice, practice practice good habits before I get my band in. Delarla, today is a new day to be good and do the right thing for you and your band. Now wasn't that a nice sermon? lol
