I hope you get to feeling better real soon!!! -
Hi Wendy, welcome to Bandland!!! Believe me..I know what you are going through...with having to feed your family and not getting to eat yourself. But I finally came to terms with it and it doesn't bother me at all now.
-
And don't feel alone either!!! I am on my 2nd day of creamy liquids and what do I do...I go to Dairy Queen and order a small Moolate and then proceed to drink the whole darn thing! :-( ...but to be fair to myself...I have been really good since my surgery on the 23rd...so I am just going to wake up tomorrow and do better!

Happy Birthday!!!

Oh come on...who can resist a fried twinkie or a fried peanut butter and jelly sandwhich....lol. Ok, ok...that stuff is obviously what made me fat in the first place. Yeah we are staying totally away from that side of town, those OU folks are too crazy for me. :-0 Hook'em Horns!!! We won't be going to the fair this year...I need to give my chitlins one more year to mature and then we will probably tackle it next year, when my hubby fianlly gets off on the weekend. -
United Health Care..Is this standard??
banded_for_life replied to puffyone's topic in Insurance & Financing
I was also told over the phone, but it took 3 tries to get the info. The first reps didn't know what the letter said. I finally got ahold of the right care department that handles the actual decision and they were able to tell me over the phone of the approval. I still didn't beleive it though until I had that paper in my hand. Best of luck! -
I wish I did, I am trying to find a good consignment shop for my 26 and 24s.

Need help - advice/help to find a lapband doc., etc.
banded_for_life replied to LauraMesquite's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
If you can't do food right now, you can always do protein shakes to ensure your body is getting enough protein in. There are several good brands of shakes out there. Just type protein shakes in the search feature of the forum and you will get back scads of info on shakes. -
Congratulations!!! Those are some super NSVs!!!

Hi Laura, another fellow Mesquiter here. I was banded on 9/23 with Dr. Benavides in Richardson. I have also met Dr. Barker as well, three years ago. I went with Dr. B, because he was closer to my work. I know other have got the LapBand on Medicare, but I can't say for sure if Dr. Benavides or Dr. Barker take Medicare. I wish you best of luck and this is a great site for support. -

Carefully pour into blender and blender until completely smooth. Be sure and vent your blender so the heat can escape. It comes out naturally creamy and taste awesome!
