Yep, hang in there and follow your drs orders, you are going to be fine. -
I can't qualify as a turtle, and I am sorry if I make anybody mad because I am speaking on the thread, but I do understand they frustrations that ya'll are all feeling. I wish I had some answers myself. I haven't seen any loss for almost a month. The week of Thanksgiving I can understand, but the other 3 weeks...I have been really good. Even with my fill right before Thanksgiving, I saw no movement of the scale. I am like Kathy and considering taking something, but giving it some real thought, because I hate the way I feel on that stuff and hate messing chemically with my metabolism.(I have heard rumors of some permanment damage being done.) I am such a scardycat. So I am going to take the exercise route to try and break this pleateu...may even do the Dr. Fox plateau buster thingy if something doesn't change next week. Just wanted to you ladies to know, that you are not alone in your struggles and we are all in this lonely journey together. <huugs>

Resolving to be a better bandster...
banded_for_life replied to Anwyn's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Best of luck Candy...I have been plateauing as well, but I was sure it was because of my darn sugar intake over the holidays...I am going to try and get some walking in this evening with my daughter. Just need something to fire back up my weightloss. I just got a fill so I am not ready for another one just yet. -

Shoot I would just settle for some rain. I thought I heard the weather guy on channel 5 say the other day that we would not get any rain in the DFW area for the rest of year??? Ouch!! Although I do feel for the banders and family's in the path of the blizzard and hope everybody comes through just fine.

Did anybody catch the report on 20/20 tonight about the Gastric Pace Maker??? Sounded pretty interesting, it goes to the FDA for approval early next year. The entire program was about different ways people have lost weight. Lapband was not even in the program. Too sad, just another choice that someone may never find out about.... Here is a link for the GP article... http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/medicalnews.php?newsid=5086

What is YOUR Second Option for WLS?
banded_for_life replied to paula's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Uhmmmm...that is a tough question...I been mulling it over ever since our beloved members have started having their band issues. I would honestly say that I would have to have something to aid me. The Gastric Shock Thingy(borrowing Kathy's highly technical term here) :-) would probably be my next option. No bypass for me...ever. However, having said that, if I could do it on my on, I wouldn't need the band....having said that though, I would also be hoping that if I lost my band, I would be far enough in my journey to have learned alot about myself, my eating habits and how to control them...or how to eat like a skinny person and no longer need the band...oh yes there's a fantasy if there ever was one...lol. ...ok take a breath. :-) -
I got my first fill 4 weeks after surgery. I got my 2nd fill almost to the day 4 weeks later. I have a VG band and do fill a small amount of restriction.

Sept 2005 bandsters post here!!
banded_for_life replied to rgfair's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Well, got my 2nd fill on the 22nd, I feel some restriction, but so far have not lost anything, but haven't gained anything...curses you double layer pumpkin pie...but I feel that I could have done worse. I have got to break this 220 plateau... How is everybody else doing?
