Yep, I always have gum or mints or something on me. My 8 year old has no problem telling me I have stinky breath...now if I can get her to whisper it instead of talking at the top of her lungs in a crowd...lol.

LOL...Big Paul...too funny! That is when I always turn it...I can only watch so much gross stuff. But I do love the Food TV...food porn that it is. I try not to watch too much of it, because it does tend to make me want to snack more.

Oh Babs sorry you had to go through that! Stay away from that turkey!!! Ouch! -
Hey Betty, I have been to Stroker's several times, it is a cool place! I had a friend that used to play in a band there on the weekends during the summer. Really nice group of people. Delarla, there is a huge Harley Davidson showroom right off of 35 outside of Waco. Can't miss the place.

lol...I know, I know Crystal...I know that is such a bad thing with the coffee connoisseurs on the board. My bag is ice tea, not coffee and since I just have one cup a day, I just gulp it and go. Now you give me a good brewed glass of ice tea and we are good to go!

PMS & Hersey's KISSES!Support pls!!!!
banded_for_life replied to sunsett's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
We have all been in that boat so we understand. Mine was last week and I bought those darned little stripped hershey's kisses to make pancakes last week. The problem was with the left overs...I kept going back until the darn bag was empty...evil...pure sweet evil. At least you are keeping track of the intake...hopefully that will keep you inline until the craving gets past. You might also try some eating just straight protein like some cut up chicken. I heard that helps...don't know, haven't wanted to resist the craving bad enough to want to replace it with something else. -
I know Cindy...I love that stuff! I got some of the Creme Brulee...that stuff is too darn good! Thank god it is only around for a limited time!

Yep, I agree with what has been said. I felt the same way, but the only way to know is to pursue the issue. Don't let up.

I had my gallbladder taken out in '97. It was a pretty easy surgery overall. I had complications later, but it was due to a staff infection.

Very cool Daddy!!!!! You go boyeee! :-) -
I try to get in as much natural fiber as I can. Fiber One cereal is my fav...it has a slight sweet taste that I just love. I sprinkle 3 tablespoons of it on everything. I use it for salad crunchies, on my tunafish, on my cottage cheese and in my yogurt. I also eat a lowcarb wheat bread. But with my last fill, that has beenkinda hard to eat lately. It is recommended to get 25 grams a day and I track mine through fitday. When I am not going to make that for anygiven day I use Benefiber tablets and the mix in stuff. I use it two ways, I put a tablespoon in my coffee and I mix it in my ice tea. I put a little hot water in my glass first to ensure that it is mixed up well and then pour in my ice tea. It is truly clear and you would never know it was there. It does alter the taste a tiny bit, but not enough to make you not want to drink it. It is something I really have to work at to get in in a day. I also got my samples from FiberChoice and that is a hard candy you suck on. They were great, but at 13.00 a box kinda on the pricey side for me right now. Hope this helps.

You might do a search on obeistyhelp.com, I came across a message board for just bypass patients who had the band as well. you might just do a search for the band and see what pops up. There were several people on that forum that had that done.

Anyone at less than 800 calories?
banded_for_life replied to vinesqueen's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Vines, I averaged my fitday for the last month and I only averaged around 862. Most days I get around high 800 to 900s. I don't mean to eat that little, but I eat 3 meals a day and get all my Protein in, plus some and I haven't noticed any energy loss. I would like to get up to 1200 a day, because I think this is part of the reason why I am not losing weight. I just don't think 700 calories is enough to even meet the average basal life requirements.
