    Question for all you Moms & Dads out there....

    I always appreciated the bigger clothes and bigger diapers...I always had to exchange the newborn diapers for bigger diapers...babies don't stay in those little ones too long. The diaper bag filled with all kinds of baby goodies is a good one. You can never have enough baby wipes.

    Hey ladies!!! Sorry I haven't posted to chat today...I been doing hit and run lookees on the pc...in between chasing the kids, doing laundry...riding 6 miles on my bike that afternoon...whoohooo! Bene- No thanks on the cat babysitter...I have 3 of my own...lol..I get walked on, layed on and stared at enough...thank you very much...lol. :-) Eileen- glad you are feeling better! Sherry- Congrats on not eating those kisses...I am now going to have to work on staying off the poppycock, just the nuts...dang it...just because it is a good deal doesn't mean I have to take advantage of it! Dutch...congrats on making it through the first day with those kiddies. Pat....what I wouldn't give for some snow here in Texas...if we don't get some cold weather soon the bugs will overtake us this summer. Tina...welcome to the best chatthread! Mouse...how are you doing today??? Cross your fingers we get that rain tomorrow...you know any raindances??? Betty...don't work too hard and you have to take a break sometime...we will be here when you can. :-) If I missed anybody....I am sorry and will make it up next time....gosh time to get dinner ready.

    Anybody doing Atkins and Banded

    I did Adkins in the past with some success, but I look back now and wonder how the heck I did it. I do Southbeach if anything now. I try to keep my calories around 1200, my carbs at 30% of that. It is hard for me nowdays to keep it down to the 20% on carbs that you need to for adkins. Everybody is so different in what works for them...the amount you eat will also be determined by your level of restriction.
  5. 1/14: B: 3/4 c of cottage cheese salad(diced ham,redbell pepper and black olive), 1/2 pkg of 100 calorie wheat thins. L: Chicken and blackbean salad, 3 onion rings S: 1 cup of low fat icecream D: 1/2 homeade chicken quesadilla, 1/2 salad S: popcorn W: 32 ozs, 8 oz SF lemonade E: Road 6 miles on my bike for the first time ever!

    PEOPLE Magazine's Weight Loss Issue

    I never have any problem getting my protien in...I have to watch getting too much and making sure I still get my calories. in. Day before yesterday, I ended up right at 100 grams of protein, but only took in a little over 1000 in calories. 33% fat, 25% carbs, 42% protein.

    I am addicted to my Fitday...I watch my calories like a fiend. I also plan my meals as much as I can...i stay on track that way...I try my best to stay around 1100 to 1200 range and never eat past 7p if I can help it.

    I hate my Mother-in-law!!

    I agree with everybody about letting your husband have a talk with her. Been there done that with the inconsiderate MIL. I would also buy a " I miss you" card for you kids and have them sign it and send it in there own handwriting, just as a sweet reminder of what she is giving up with her behavior...which is more important...her pride or her grand kids???

    Morning kiddies! Eileen, don't let that BOZO get you down...I been there too, thinking I was doing to best job I could do and when it come down to a review...told I was only just doing my job....grrr...you are doing to right thing...get those feelers out there and something will surely come about. *huggs* Dutchgirl..have to admire you...I could never be a teacher..I can barely stand to be around my own two chitlins...I am teasing of course..I love me kids...most of the time. Sherry...keep up the great work...you are doing it the right way on the choclate...I am right there with you sister..they need a 12 step program of chocoholics anonymous. Bene...can I be Eilleen's assistant...i mean she is going to be busy makeing all your arraingments...she is surely going to need somebody to keep her straight! :-) I know I left some off, but the boss is walking around and I gotta go look busy...ya'll have a good day and huggs and gropes to all! :-)
  14. 1/13: B: 1/4 c Scrambled eggbeaters and diced ham..I stopped prior to a pb..it just didn't want to go down this am. L: 1 c of Blackbean and corn salad with low carb dressing.(I love my band!!) S: Yogurt with couple of almonds and fiber one. D: 1 slice of brisket, small amount of coleslaw, small roll and 1/2 onion ring. S: 1 small bowl of ice cream...ok...I caved I admit. Water: 32 ozs, 8 oz decaf coffee, 16 0z of fresh decaf tea...yum! Exercise: No eating past 7p...Friday's are always tough for that..and of course...didn't quite do it tonight.

    Hey everybody....I was off work today to take my son to be tested to ensure he didn't have any speech problems. He was born with two baby teeth and they had to be pulled when he was a week old. We just wanted to ensure his speech wasn't impaired. It wasn't and he is developing great! Made my daughter's day by going and having lunch with her at school today. Didn't get much alone time today, but had a good day today. Congrats again, Rene.

    New Foods, New Diet.. with WLS

    I just eat much healthier than I ever have in my life. I do count my calories and plan my meals. I just make better decisions that way. I cook for my family the same as I always have...I just eat alot less than I used to and I measure whatever I eat. I feel like my band has given me the willpower to make much better decisions for myself. Am I perfect about it...hell no...yesterday I had a meltdown and manage to eat my way through 1600 calories that included chocolate and poppycock...got on the scale this morning and I have lost a pound...go figure...lol. Trish I hope you discover what works with you and your band. *huggs*

    Fake Sugar

    I use Splenda and I also use water sensations faithfully...thanks again Mandy! I have no problem getting my water in. I am trying not to drink too much ice tea, because I am afraid the tannen in the tea may be contributing to me retaining water.

    I'm Feeling Foxy!

    Keep up the great work you have been doing recently Lisa! You are looking fantastic. I will do the big reveal for my original picture when I was at my biggest and had taken myself off to Glamour shots thinking with some sort of picture magic they could make me less fat. I guess there wasn't enough vaseline in the world that would help.

    NO NO foods

    I have had to give up my low carb wheat bread...even toasted...it just doesn't go down well enough. As long as everything is well cooked, there hasn't been anything that I can't eat...even sushi.

    Total Gym or equivilent?

    I have found places on the net that you can rent fitness equipment and there were some sites that there was no contract required. That way you could try if before you buy it.
