    Red Spots

It's because of the ketones I saw a YouTube video about it might appearing on light skinned people.
  5. They put a tube down your throat so you might want to think about that too mines was really sore the first 2 days.
  6. I had cough and phlegm, but I had the surgery anyway. It was hell trying to cough after surgery. My abdomen hurt SOOO much everytime I coughed/sneezed. If I would have known it was going to be painful I would have put it off , but yet I'm real cry baby.

    DISGUSTED WITH FOOD

I couldn't eat a thing for the first 5 weeks not even a bottle of water aday . I was told it was because of the swelling. I was petrified to eat anything outside the guidelines because I was so scared to be in pain ( even water hurt the first month). When I got discharged my husband got pizza right before picking me up and the car smelled horrible and I threw up. I've gone out to restaurants just for the social part I get appetizers and can't even finish that but I had the same thoughts as you " omg I used to be able to eat appetizers dinner and deserts with a 12 oz soda even more ." I used cry about not being "normal" and I thought !will food be a challenge forever! I was jealous of the portion size they would be able to eat Now (12 weeks postop) i cant eat almost anything chicken nuts, toast, salads but of course 1/2 cup portions usually, MAYBE 1cup if my stomach lets me. I'm not saying it's 100% better because I'm not I have struggles almost everyday. Still learning ..... But it WILL get better I promise. MY normal is better healthier and I feel energetic. I think about it this way. I used to be in pain (had a hernia) tired AND fat and now after some few struggles finally getting skinny. Which is better??

    Sleeve Recovery Time

Wow !! Congratz to all that went to work right after surgery. I am a stay at home mom, it took me about 2 weeks to recoup well enough to take my kids to School in the CAR! ... I guess everyone's diff ... 4 weeks to actually get out the house. 7 weeks out since yesterday, If I eat my protein and water I have more energy than before surgery. Eat the wrong stuff I feel weak and sleepy ALLDAY.

    I want to give up

I also do what @@Elode did I never put anything in the blender it's grossed me out the first time. Iam sticking to soft foods or just chewed my food until it's purée ... Then swallow. If you can shred your chicken like into a tuna fish consistency it's ok too. Just try them minutes apart when it's new food and texture so you know if you ate a non-painful amount. Hope this helps... I would give you ideas but they said them all ✌️
  14. Thank you melting m ???? its been going better getting the most water I can, really trying hard to get that protein and staying away from the wrong foods. I already see the diff in my mood and they way I carry out the day...best of all my body ✌️???? hope everyone is doing good too. it's never late to change ????
  15. Every days is new day to change a bit more for the better ????
  16. I really liked your quote it opened my eyes and try to see the good and not the bad of this surgery. I've had so many break downs and regrets. Hopefully Iam Soooooo over it. Time to stop lingering in the past. ITS JUST FOOD!!! ( what I tell my self )
  17. I did the exact same thing. I wrote down on MFP what I was having the next day. I've been doing so these past days. It helps a lot with the protein goals and After goals are met there's no more room!! Thank God!! After I do get a bit hungry at night a glass of water helps through the morning. I keep it in my bedroom because if I go to the kitchen I WILL Open that fridge. It's good to acknowledge ones weaknesses and try to avoid triggers.
  18. Thank you ANY Tools are well appreciated and I will be watching these links.
  19. My support system is my husband and BP honestly. I am from chicago and there's this hospital that helps uninsured people. They told me right off the bat that I wasen't going to get let's say "a team". It was a same day surgery. I got insured only for a year from a private charity it's not Medicaid or any government help. I told my self after the replies I got that I Wasent going to wait till Monday to get back on track I started the next morning water protein water protein. It's an amazing gift God gave me to start a healthy life and Myb a door to introduce my husband and his family to join me. I have yet to talk to them but saying NO THANKS to offered food is a good start for me. ????
  20. I wouldn't say they're jealous because they like to eat they all are obese ... Morbidly obese ...my sister in law had diabetes at 14 .. Now 21 she has to inject insulin. My other sister in law she's 14 and she has cholesterol and high blood pressure . My father in law has both diseases plus liver damage from alcohol abuse . ALTHOUGH my husband is morbid obese he doesn't have any diseases YET..... I think it's because they just want me to fail ... Idk really Myb it's just their personalities. Iam 5'0 205 starting weight 235 I've lost 30 lb in the last month. They notice I know they want to lose weight too because they're always in" diets ".
  21. Your absolutely right as soon as I have the power on I'm moving out
  22. I ve got and been getting info from here I did start googling like crazy before I had the surgery but I am have to go get a pass at it again. as for the people I live with its my husbands family (in-laws) we live with them because our house got burnt down a year ago we've been trying to get back on our feet since then but it's been hard we bought an old kinda broken down house and fixing it we're almost done I see light at the of the tunnel, as for food it's their house and I can't tell them don't bring junk food ect I do buy my own food and I have been good for the first 3 weeks ( actually scared to try anything new) but this week was horrible and I think it was emotional eating because I miss my own loving caring family. I have a follow up appointment jan 14 I'm ask to see a nutritionist. As for now I'm sit and talk with them and ask them to stop because it really is difficult and I don't think it's funny at all ( they say I took the easy way out ) EASY pffff as if. My husband is so supportive he knows his family are mean and defends me all the time but they don't care what you tell them they laugh it off and make fun of you.
  23. Idk if you guys ever read my previous posts but I don't have a "team" or nutritionist I can't afford one. I don't have insurance either. I went to the hospital for a hernia pain in October 1 and in my follow up appointment (October 8) the doctor told me they weren't going to repair my hernia with my weight and the suggested getting sleeved I agreed and got sleeved nov 24 the hospital covered everything 100% I am eternally grateful. So there wasen't any psychologist just acouple of discharge papers.
  24. I rant here because my family doesn't understand how hard it is . They know about my surgery but they sit there n make fun of what I can't eat. They waive the food in my face. Iam strong and laugh it off but it kinda wants to make me cry. I don't blame them for what I put in my mouth. I come here for words of encouragement, "tough love" and reminders of why I did this. The words I don't get at home. Thanks all you guys really help.
  25. Iam sorry but don't let this discourage you. I'm NOT over eating that's impossible the choices I'm making in the foods that go in my mouth is in my power with or without this surgery. I can't eat like before I eat about 1/2 cup of Soup in about 30 min or if it chicken something with texture I can prob eat not more than 2oz. So my rant is about the little bit that I can eat I'm choosing to have chips n cheesecake instead of my protiens and Water. The surgery is wonderful I've lost 30lb in 1 month even with my bad habits.
