Thought I would share since it is such a struggle to get liquids down. I also cannot stand a frothy, thick Protein shake YUK !! I mixed 1 scoop of chocolate Protein powder 1 tsp. decaf coffee crystals 1 tsp. cocoa powder 8 oz. 1% milk Blended and then transferred to a jug and refrigerated it for several hours. It is thin and has a chocolate milk consistency. It's the best shake I have had in weeks. Oh the little things that make you happy )

I know this may be TMI but, I feel like my breath is gross. I should call my surgeons office, but I was just wondering do any of you chew sugarless gum or suck on sugarless mints ? I am afraid to get to close to anyone LOL

Me too !! I have managed more liquids each day, but the gas !! Ugh ????. I walk all the time too. I actually feel really good other than that. It's a full time job to get all this down haha Back to work tomorrow. It took me over 1/2 hr to get all my supplements/meds and fluids, etc.. Prepped and packed up...

It is so hard to get these shakes down ... I'm having a heck of a time. The taste and smell gag me. I'm gonna kick it up a notch and add some flavoring tomorrow ...

I feel really good and I have a very low key job which mostly I sit down for. My discharge instructions say 2 weeks or until off pain meds ... I am self employed so I can leave if it gets to be too much ... I just feel so stuck in the house lol

I could have written the same post word for word !! I feel exactly the same way !! In time, we will have it down to a science ????

Thanks everyone. I feel really good and I am following all my post op instructions but being home 2 weeks is just way too much for me

I am a self pay patient and it cost us over $20,000. We are self employed and switched insurance plans twice to try and get the surgery covered. Each time we were let down ... It drained us financially. I do feel guilty sometimes but I know it will improve my overall health and my families life as well. I hope it all works out for you !!

I gagged so bad getting my meds mixed with applesauce down this morning ????. Just thinking about it makes me nauseous. Now that I am home, I am on a strict schedule of getting fluid, meds & vitamins in but I am worrying about how I'll manage all this when I go back to work ... I know we all will get I down to a science but in the meantime, I will take it day to day. Hope you all are feeling well today ????

Yes, I am on shots for 30 days Post op. They really don't hurt and I would rather be safe then sorry ...

I'm struggling with the liquids too. It took me 6 hours to get 16oz down yesterday. The gas pains are still ferocious but I keep walking & walking ... I am nursing some very runny cream of wheat now and cannot drink again for 30 minutes????We will get this all down like pros in no time ????????☺️

Heading home soon. Still have some gas pain and I am really tired but feeling well otherwise. I am getting my liquids in without any issues ????Hope you all are doing well.

I am extra gassy today too. I have very minimal pain (thank goodness). My heart rate is still a little high, so I'm staying until tomorrow. I'm super tired ????????. They started me on water and cranberry juice this afternoon. So far, so good. Chat with you all soon.

I had gallbladder and two c-sections. One classic cut c-section and one bikini cut and I had my surgery this morning ????

Oh no that sucks !! Having your period on top of that ... Tomorrow is a new day ... Maybe u will feel better ...

Still feeling really good but my heart rate is up so that has me a little worried. My hubby & the kids just left and now I am going to try and get a nap in before my next walk. I'll will post again in the morning ????

Hi ladies. I am now officially post op !! Feeling way better than I expected. I am very tired but I'm comfortable and relaxed. Surgery went well and the hospital staff is awesome !! Hope all of us 8/17 sleevers are doing well. Check in when you can ????

I am feeling all the normal emotions I should be experiencing today. I have done really well on my liquid pre-op, I have done all that I was asked and I have researched for over a year. I am a rule follower and I hope that helps me with my post op... Keep me in your thoughts and prayers please. I will update as soon as I am able. Good luck to the rest of the 8/17 sleevers !!!!! So excited to start our new journey ????
