shellyd67 replied to shellyd67's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Almost passing out while working out....
shellyd67 replied to twil1980's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would have your BP monitored daily to see if that could be an issue. A good friend of mine, had the sleeve & kept passing out from her BP being too low. I have been off my BP meds since 2 weeks post op and I monitor mine everyday. I hope you get some answers soon, that has to be scary & frustrating. -

How To Mix Protein Drink To Desired Consistency
shellyd67 replied to notgonnabelikemymom's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I always use a blender (ninja) I make two shakes at a time , and let them settle in the fridge for an hour or two to eliminate some of the foam. You will get much better results with a blender of some sort. ???? -
I use the patches & just had labs & they are working fine. I also have not had any side effects ...

7 weeks post op and still doing 2 shakes per day
shellyd67 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am in no way able to "eat" all my required protein per day so I have to do 2 protein shakes. I try and space meals and drinks out, but there just isn't enough hours in the day. I'm required 80 gms per day and I always meet that and usually have 90-100 gms. I have read that a lot of people do at least one shake, per day for 6 months or more ... Just curious on how others handle this ... -
Labs are back ... PatchMD seems to be working
shellyd67 replied to shellyd67's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
PATCHMD.com will explain it all. I also recommend doing your own research. For me, they are super convenient and one less thing I have to worry about. -

I'm in Seattle...I need my coffee...
shellyd67 replied to Seahawkgirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I loved nothing more than my morning cup of coffee pre-op. I lost the taste completely for coffee post-op. Go figure ? ☕️☕️ I drink decaf hot tea with Splenda and a splash 1% milk. -
My Big Fat Fabulous Life - Do you watch it?
shellyd67 replied to MIMISAN's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I like her and think she has a fabulous personality. I do think she is kidding herself though. Life is not fabulous at almost 400 lbs. The health risks and physical limitations are just overwhelming at her size. I wish her all the best ???? -
That's awesome !! The liquid diet goes so fast !! It is so well worth it ????

7 weeks post op and still doing 2 shakes per day
shellyd67 replied to shellyd67's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, I can see the calories adding up with fancy shakes lol Mine are 192 calories each because I use 1% milk to mix them, so 1/2 of my daily calories are coming from shakes at this point. It's all I can do ... I get the other 300-400 calories with fish/seafood of some sort and maybe some cheese & yogurt ... -
I stayed 2 days. I felt great but my heart rate was a little elevated, so they suggested another night.
