Been wanting a lapband since 2006, it's 2014 and I finally have insurance that will cover it. Been between 190 and 220 for over 10 years. I'm 38 and it's starting to really wear me down, I hope to use the band successfully and have decided to stick with the band even though I know a lot of folks are loving the sleeve. My #1 motivation for the surgery is my dad's death at age 65. He was such a great man but he finally died due to extreme morbid obesity. I watched him lose and gain literally hundreds of pounds over several years. So I decided to just stay borderline morbidly obese and never really diet. Now I'm having a really hard time trying to retrain my brain to eat healthier to prepare for my next 30-40 years!
