My Dr prescribed something called Senokot Plus Tablets I take 1 twice a day I also add 2 tablespoons Benefiber to 22oz of water with Lemonaid Crystal Lite and sip it all day It has worked great.

How are the December surgeries doing?

Thanks for the encouragement. I needed it. I'm feeling a little better but still struggling with gas and getting in enough fluids.

Congratulations I had my surgery Dec 8 and had a rough go. Did not leave hospital until Dec 13. Still rough bit if I can lose this much weight in a year it will be well worth it

Thanks I'm trying to stay positive too. I agree it's a lot harder than I expected but Jesus has brought me through!????

I am 56 years old and had surgery Dec 8. I had a rough go my bowels stopped working and I just got out of the hospital yesterday Dec 13. Please tell me it gets better I am struggling with fluids, protein, pain, and weakness

I went to a Bariatric surgical center also. They had seminars they offered twice a month presented by one of the Bariatric surgeons that explained all the different types of surgeries, what was required from different insurance companies to qualify what thinks you are required to give up and a lot of other information for those who are thinking about surgery. You filled out a questionnaire and gave them your insurance information. Some one from the center called you back within a week or two and told you exactly what your insurance company required. The supervised weight loss diet was done by dietitians that are a part of the program thy included group classes and individual appointments monthly to guide you and help you meet insurance requirement goals

I had the RNY surgery yesterday. Yesterday was s vey rough day the pain was awful they ended up giving me dilauded to get my pain under control . I was able to walk ten laps yesterday by the evening time I pretty much had pain medication every 4 hours though out the night. I walked 3 laps this morning around 3 am. I got more pain medication this morning around 8 pm after waiting 2 hours for it this time I had liquid po and IV pain medication. I walked another 5 laps (I'm suppose to walk 20 laps today to help the gas to move) I am finally starting to feel a little better. I'm on my last bag of IV antibiotics Sill on IV fluids at 125 ml/ hour. I can have 60 ml of clear liquids per hour. I've had no nausea or vomiting so far. I'm grateful for that. I pray this day will be much better than yesterday sine I am suppose to go home tomorrow.

I've been sitting in the surgery check in area since 10:00 for a suppose to be a12:00 surgery. It's 12:06 and I haven't been called yet I've asked what's the hold up. No answer yet.

Hi ism 54 years old and will have my RNY Dec 8. I sure am glad to know how a fifty year old body will react, I'm also glad to hear how successful you all have been with the weight loss

I just had my class Dec 1 and we discussed vitamin intake and the different phases of the diet post op. I also have my vitamins and shakes. My dietitian said a lot of times a persons taste changes after surgery and you don't always like the same Shake flavors or brand of shakes

Hi I am 56 years old and will be having my surgery Dec. 8 this has been a 6 month journey but I made it. I'm doing the 3 week liver shrinking fit now. Just 1 more week to go. I have a two hour class to attend tomorrow I am not sure what it will be about but I'm looking forward to going.
