Any sleevers had Michael Baptista in Jacksonville, fl?
jane13 replied to allisonm07's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
@@allisonm07 - is he with a larger practice? I have Dr Uchal. Post one year 11 days, NO REGRETS! -
yes!!! what everyone else said ^^^ relax....you got this!

same as @@Elode, never used it.

@@brittanylau - It varies. When I burped or had to hiccup it was signal to stop. I also had a knot in the throat feeling early out (first couple of months). You need to sip that Protein drink and wait a few, don't go passed that burp or hiccup - that's my opinion. Call your doctor if the pain in your stomach doesn't subside or if you are running a temp. I think you are FULL!

I bought the Ninja-IQ and really wasn't that impressed, maybe I missed something? I returned it because my cheapo blender mixed my ice/protein/fruit very well. It is just as messy to clean, which I thought I would get away from with the Ninja. Anyone found one that was not as noisy? The Ninja was VERY loud. Like Dub and LifeofBlair I am looking for something better -

May 16th surgery buddies?.....Let's do this together!
jane13 replied to kmorri's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@kmorri - hey! so glad to hear you are doing well. keep walking, it will get better. Do you know when you will be doing your leak test? Jane -
@@her1981 & @@gpmed - I am wearing some fitted pants today at work. I bet I have been asked ATLEAST 5 times how much more weight are you going to lose? I just smile and say a few more and keep walking. They mean well (its a bunch of guys) and I try to take the questions as a compliment. The downside is that I am getting worried about NOT making it to goal because I don't want to be a failure.

Have you gotten rid of the winter season clothes ?
jane13 replied to kat27641's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
oh heck ya! I live in the Sunshine state and its been in the 90s in the afternoons. It has dipped into the 50s-60s and I don't like to be cold so I kept a couple of hoodies. I also found a Danskin zip-up lightweight jacket that was on the clearance racket about two months ago. I thought it wouldn't fit size (12-14) had a big NSV when it not only fit, but ZIPPED over the girls with plenty of room! I strut around in it like its a PINK LADIES jacket from Grease! -
@@kjhen - you know they have it at least, because it is pending. Try to call only once a day and if you can get a name write it down and the time - you may actually be able to get them to contact you and let you know

May 24 Surgery Day
jane13 replied to LoveMyBypass's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
@@Shemekasr @ - Hey Ladies, I don't mean to hijack your thread but you are not saying FOREVER goodbye to ALL of your favorite foods. I eat like I am supposed to, an occasionally eat a bite or so of my pre-WLS favorites, so its not FOREVER goodbye. Its all about using your tool - sleeve, band or bypass! Good luck! -
what Jamie said ^ and in MY mind it was most logical - smaller stomach, eat less. jane

@@csawesome - As I said earlier he may come back....I let mine back in with a promise of counseling...never happened. I regretted letting my heart down:( By the second or third week of him being back home I was screaming internally for him to leave. The trust was gone and he was questioning why I didn't want to be intimate????? WTF????? We had been separated while he was with his GF for about 3 months. It took a drunken night with his "buddies" and him threatening me to kill my cousin 2 days before Christmas for me to call it quits. We had been together for over 11 years and married for 8. I spent Christmas at a womens shelter with my kids. I told him I would not come home until he left, for good. I would tell him to move out until you COMPLETE counseling. If he is serious about working on the marriage he will do whatever it takes, you know, commit. Like he did to YOU when you got married.....did he forget that? What message are you sending to your kids? Do what is best for you.

@@JamieLogical - sorry to hear you are going thru some issues with hubby :/ hope you two are working towards a solution. @@Babbs - I am in the same boat as you I haven't gained 5, at the moment 3, but I know it is stressed induced from my adult son and pending medical results from CT on Friday for me. Jamie/Babbs, I seem to do better during the week because I am preoccupied with work but as soon as Friday gets here I am struggling to stay 'in the game'. I don't know what to do either. I have tried to stay busy but when I cant sleep at night I get up and watch TV. I get a cup of 80cal LF greek yogurt or cheese stick if I am hungry. The urge to plow through a plate of brownies was ridiculous at 1130 last night!

One week post - Wow what a week!
jane13 replied to UpandAtom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@ - thanks for sharing for the newbies. I am over a year post. I think a response from someone who is just ahead of a them is always more believable, for those especially a day or two post, because the issues are more recent. -
@@tiffanymarie6997 - be prepared for the "3 week stall" to last more than a "week" as that happens as well. It just starts around the 3rd week and its duration is not the same for everyone. Jane

Crazy question about your stomach
jane13 replied to Kendell Thatsme's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@@Kendell Thatsme - it depends on a lot of different factors like age, genetics, how much exercise, etc. I have lost quite a bit in my stomach area and it is where I generally lose weight first, but the skin hasn't bounced back like it did years ago. My upper arms & boobs (I am 53) same thing - -
@pinklantern @@KristenLe had a great idea about getting your chef and bartending friends to work up food/drinks for you - then you can share with us here ;D
