    I ate a peanut :(

relax. drink water as late as possible. I could take one BP pill that morning. stay on track from here on. let me know how you are doing post surgery.
  2. sleeved on Wednesday home the next evening could've gone to work on Monday but had plans to be home for that week, just in case. No issues. I was told about 60% of the weight on average is lost. that would put me a little over 60 lbs. if that's all the sleeve does and I have to work the other 40 off - so be it - I will at least be in better health and shape to exercise (move) and get it off. I feel pretty confidant that I can be one of the ones who gets within 20lbs of my goal. I didn't like the re-arranging of my intestines or the port. listen to your doctors suggestions and do your own research.

Ice Chips, Ok or No No?

I wasn't told too avoid ice chips either. I couldn't do the sugar free popsicles. I bought a box from Wal-Mart and about puked both times. They went straight to trashcan!

    Post op vitamins

I was given a list to take asap after surgery. I am taking biotin & zinc for the hair and its not specifically on the list. I am currently doing a sublingual B12, 2 chewable kids vitamins & 2 citracal petites. I did the liquid calcium but it became too sweet and I bought the "petites" citracal thinking I could take them. They are bigger than a plain M&M and I was told to not take anything any bigger than that. I am going to get the chewable flavored calcium that comes in a foil bag when I finish them off. They look like small now or laters. I was told no gummies, period. I was also told to take iron, but that caused "other" issues

Brave enough to cut hair SHORT now!

my hair has natural curl and I have started noticing it thinning at top where it tends to part. My hair has been about 3-4 inches below my shoulders. I cut a couple of inches off and added a long layer to lighten the weight and add some fullness to the top. My hair was one of the few things I always was complimented on since I was little. It is now greyer and that hair tends to have a mind of its on. I put a non-permanent color on about every three months and was going lighter during the summer the last couple of years. this year I may go a little darker to help the thinning ;( I am starting to see (post-surgery). Dr said I wouldn't probably notice it but I had thick hair and in the last 15 years it has thinned out and now I am dealing with more thinning. It sucks but I am OK with losing some as long as it comes back - hats are in!

    Weight loss and underwear

I have a hubby who like to buy me panties. That's okay but he likes the way they look (lacey, frilly, satiny, etc) and he buys the size I was wearing, 9. The problem is they all don't fit the same. He bought boyshorts and I actually liked them but some tend to roll down. We recently moved and I have probably 50 pairs of panties and I have started wearing them and if they give me one reason to hit the trash can - they go! I tried the non-roll labeled ones and still no good. The below the belly roll makes them slide <argh> and then because of the WLS they have started to roll all the way down! I prefer the cotton ones for comfort and coolness here in the tropical humid NE Florida area

  14. @@sandyhoney68 I am almost 6 weeks post (surgery date 5/6/15) and I had a stall about 3 weeks ago for a week and the scale moved again. Now I have another stall going on with a couple of pounds added (Aunt Flo came for a visit). It is depressing regardless. Hang in there, we are in this for the long haul

  19. Were you given a limit as to the number of carbs? I was told an amount for calories, fat, sugar and Protein limits but not an actual figure for carbs. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    daily carbs limit

thanks everyone for chiming in. I want to make sure I can succeed and if my carbs are too high then it may explain the slower loss. I eat Protein first then veggies when its a meal but when it comes to protein bars like @Boombalatty I didn't know if I may be getting too many carbs. I was told at least 60-80 protein a day and Water and I do not remember a min/max on carbs. As a rule of thumb LF or FF and no sugar or artificial sweeteners. After watching my 600lb life I added the idea of single digit grams of sugars if possible and two digit grams of fiber & carbs - if I am reading labels to watch for that including the LF or FF.

    Pre-op Drinks

I didn't sweat the before surgery, it was the post-op - waiting for the leak test. I was first in on Wednesday morning and had leak test about 11 or so next day...longest I have ever gone without SOMETHING to drink. That was miserable
