    Stomach Hurting!

@@TamaraRae - try different temperatures on the liquids - that may help. Are you running a fever? Taking a PPI? You are ONLY 2 days post so it MAY be nothing but call your doctor TODAY and run it across the professionals before its the weekend and you cant get a reply.

@@ajg91342 - will be praying for you! post as soon as you can so we know you are out and strolling the halls in your pretty hospital gown!
  3. @@inanc everyone has their own reasons why they get the surgery so be careful about judging their decision. The OP may not have disclosed other reasons. Just sayin' This is your 2nd post - what is your story?

    Immersion blender vs bullet

@@Diana_in_Philly - I was actually hoping it would be quieter but I think it was ALOT louder than my old blender :/
  6. I am the heaviest in my family and have battled my weight since I was about 13/14. No one in my family (including work family) has been unsupportive and I therefore I am blessed. I feel bad for those who feel they have no support from SO or family.

    Need some support

@@southenbelle - unfortunately no everyone has family 'on board' but we are here for you. We MAY NOT agree all the time but we all care... welcome!
  8. @@chele367 - ask her to be "on call" if you really need something, because you will have your phone with you in case you need her help. Politely decline the need for her to be at your house and tell her you will be sleeping most of the time anyways. A competent teen will be there with you after school and through the night. I didn't want someone with me all day either ~ but it was nice to know IF I needed their help (hubby and adult son) ~ that they were there. They pretty much left me alone
  9. @@VSGAnn2014 - Defcon level is needed and I loved your answers esp D, E & F. I have had to give those as well To the snarky ones, the Defcon level, "put your helmet on" status - per the comedian Ron White
  10. The pre-op was the hardest part in my opinion. I had a relatively easy post so maybe that's why I feel that way. The positive side to the pre-op is getting your head in the game and therefore you are better prepared for the post-op phase, again, MY opinion. WLS provides the tool to do the job, the tool has to be put to work, by the owner. Some people don't realize they cannot expect to lose 100s of pounds in a couple of months without effort on their part. Don't get on the scale everyday and don't get frustrated by comparing yourself to others - every ones journey is different. There are a multitude of factors that play into how much you lose, how fast you lose, where you lose... Good luck Newbies! Enjoy the ride!

    Babies?

@@dusky goddess - I have two young friends who are happily married with two beautiful daughters and everyone was continuously asking are you going to have another one (to get a son)? Her response, "just because we can....doesn't mean we should." Fast forward 5 years>>>> they decided to have another child, a boy. Point is - procreation is not for everyone and there is NO set amount you are suppose to "produce" look at the Duggars....

    So much gassiness!

@@cseidman - sleep with your head elevated. A lot of folks sleep in a recliner for the first couple of weeks. I didn't have the luxury (long story) but I slept with my head elevated. Sick

She has to stay hydrated - I would go back to ER, its been 5 days, by that's me, unless you can contact the ER doctor she saw Saturday. The diarrhea, along with nausea, can get her potassium level down dangerously low.

@@alaskansleeved4me - found out what your insurance requires and go from there. Have you got documentation for weightloss that is recent? Like Weight watchers? Gym membership with trainer? Maybe another type of doctor you have seen for the pre-diabetes can provide some weight loss documentation, even if you didnt succeed. Good luck!
