  1. @@AvalonNeeCee - I read your reply and you were great to respond to her questions. I almost did the band for my adult daughter. I am SOOO glad I changed my mind and went with my original plan - sleeve. Love my sleeve. I haven't had any major issues.
  2. @@WontonAnimalChIndo & @@mclorrie - good luck tomorrow let us know asap how you are doing.
  3. MMmmmmMMM a grilled cheese. I haven't had one of those in months. @@armiller - is this OK at this point with your NUT? mine says NO.
  4. @@agalindo17 thanks for saying that because I was already going stir crazy because I was home for 12 days. I was really irritated by the 3rd or 4th call. they were extremely persistent. I thought maybe it was me in post-surgery monster mode!

    Propel water

I know my taste buds have changed since surgery but I swore I was drinking dish water!
  6. Has anyone else not liked the taste? it tastes soapy, I am threw up here at work. it would've been the first time post-op. I bought two bottles (had a coupon) because I wanted the container to re-use for water and I dumped them both out - they both tasted soapy

    Newbie Here!

@@RobiDobi - welcome to the family!
  8. I tried to do that and all I got was MULTIPLE emails and phone calls needing important info BEFORE they could process my insurance, JUST to see if I was eligible. I filled out a survey and they called EVERYTIME questioning if I wanted to try this flavor, or buy this (not Protein stuff), etc...
  9. Hubby likes to eat out a lot and over a 20plus year marriage it has added to the weight gaining for me. Not now. He orders ala carte grilled shrimp at longhorn (I get the veggie he doesn't want or we share), or I order soup or we share his meal. I have been blessed with NOT having a waiter/waitress make a big deal about me not ordering. Last night I decided to quit getting water for my drink, I got a look. I explained when she made sure I didn't want anything to drink that I am not suppose to drink because I had WLS. If I have a drink I tend to sip - when my mouth gets dry from chewing some foods. To stop over drinking before and after I will just NOT get a drink. I will steal a sip (if desperate) from hubbys drink ;D
  10. @@animallover1247 - diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea and fibromyalgia may all be affected tremendously by WLS - IMO. I was pre-diabetic, high blood pressure and had undiagnosed sleep apnea and fibromyalgia. My A1C never got above 5.9 - but one time about 2 years ago and it has been below 5 for sometime. BP has dropped, I sleep much better and I don't ache all over. I am 8 weeks out today - not saying you will be cured but just eliminating diabetes part alone would be a tremendous plus for WLS. I am losing hair & my breath stinks (ketosis) - I am so happy to report!

    I'm sick!

hope you get to feeling better. be thankful you didn't get sick right before surgery either and possibly cause a delay...
  12. @@joannct1t @@Sharpie - I am SW of Jacksonville. They have meetings at the St. Vincents on Brannen Field Road in Clay County. You both are doing great!

    New sleever

I haven't but it is probably because of the change in diet.
  14. @PChayy05- "chewable vitamins...seven course meal"...I can relate to that.
  15. I am excited for all of you. it will be here before you know it. good luck.

    Another roadblock...

September isn't that far away and I agree totally with @Babbs. research.
  17. my first appointment was a beat too, but so worth it! no regrets at all.

    Labor Day Challenge!

me too! I have my second follow-up on the 8th of September. I would love to be under 200.
  19. I just posted about something similar. I have days where I can go without eating barely enough Protein and other days where I cannot get enough. I blamed it on the full moon :/ two weeks ago it was that TOM so I understood why along with the extra Water retention. I have no excuse now, esp since I don't get a TOM regularly now. I haven't had the mucus issue either.

    My Sleeve journey

I have to ask both of you @@greenbaymichk and @@AnniLou - did you get any sleep if you stayed the night post-op? Or did you get woke up all night (about every 45 minutes) by a nurse sticking a thermometer in your mouth, blood pressure cuff on your arm, etc? Love you guys, my son's an RN, but I wanted to sleep and not think about the thirst!

    Tomorrow is my day!

I remember feeling like that 7 weeks ago today. I have a seat right here next to me on the losers bench, come on!!!! drink as much and as late as possible tonight!
  22. its your life, YOU have to live it NOT them. I did it because of the same reasons, pre-diabetic, HBP, and hit the scale one time and it read 282...I didn't want to wait and find out IF I COULD be 300lbs. I KNEW I could. I had been putting on about 10plus pounds a year. screw them - I got your back!

May 13 Sleevers or close to it

I am one week ahead of you - are you varying your selection of proteins? I still struggle with the water thing but I am getting a lot closer. I also season my food with non salt type stuff. If I am only going to get a 1/2 a cup maybe 3/4 it better taste good and not be bland. you are doing great with your weight loss. be thankful you are not fighting hunger:D
