    No one is noticing:-(

I have had people notice but the second thing women say to me are my books are still huge. yep, they are. The average comment is how much. I really don't care to share everything so I give them a general statement of a couple of pant sizes. be ready it will happen:)

    Vitamins.

I was told no gummies. I believe I can later. but now was a no go. I break mine in half, if they are too big.

  10. I have done the sip (only if necessary) while eating. My problem was before & after. I eliminated that about two weeks ago, when I hit the stall I am on, by just not getting anything to drink. At home I have to get it and if we are out to eat I just tell the wait staff - "no drink, thanks". hubby likes to eat out a lot and I am learning how to eat all over again. I ask for the to go box with my meal. At Red Lobster this past weekend I got a "that was very responsible" response from the waitress when I immediately put 4/5 of my food in the box.

    Struggling to quit smoking?

you both are doing so well with that habit. I never had it but my son does and I watched my mom die from throat cancer that started inn her mouth (from cigarettes). he has a vapor cig but I cant quite get him to kick the regular cigs to the curb. I have bought him the liquid with very little (or none) nicotine and he didn't notice. I know....wicked.

    Hair Loss

what about your Protein I your diet? Zinc? Plenty of Water? I have lost some hair but with menopause and the WLS one of them was going to win
  14. "Congratulations" and look forward to your new birthday when you get it!
  15. I had to break my BP in half because it was too much for me, BP was too low, and I am hoping to be completely off them soon. I was told anything bigger than a regular M&M, esp now, would be too big.
  16. I am post a little over two months and my TOM isn't regular due to the pre-menopause thing. I have been a scale junkie since puberty kicked in and the weight took off in the wrong direction. Post WLS I am standing on the scale for two weeks and I am really frustrated again with it not moving. I joined in the Labor Day weight loss challenge and was hoping to be under 225 by Monday and under 200 by next Dr apt on 9/8. I feel a bit PMS-ish and I know that even though I cant see "Aunt Flo pull up in her rusty old Cadillac" that I know that the symptoms still come. Headache, constipation, bloating and I MAY be a little irritable :/ But the darn scale has to not freaking move either???!!!! Its a conspiracy...

    VENT pre-menopause and the scale

@@Djmohr - my hair loss began about 10 years ago and it thinned a bit. it sucks but like you said I am so much happier being post WLS than I was before. @@LeslieT63 - the start of menopause I think did help with the weight gain

    Sleeping

<p><span style="font-family: "comic sans ms", cursive;">I clutched the pillow to lie back on the bed (stomach muscles a bit sensitive) and if I needed to cough or sneeze. Take a pillow to the hospital for the ride home!</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family: "comic sans ms", cursive;">If you have GERD issues you may need to elevate the head of the bed a smidgen and it also helps getting up. I actually sat down and layed sideways and then rolled to my back.</span></p>

    50 lbs LOST!

    YEAH!!!!! congrats!
  20. I got approval letter in mail and call from doctors office to see about scheduling surgical apt which was about 2 weeks later because of his schedule. I started the pre-op diet (about 90%) as soon as I got the approval letter (Friday April 3rd?). I called the following Monday and made appointment to see surgeon. I could've had my surgery about 9 days after that appointment (April 20th?) because they knew I had been doing the pre-op diet and the last day was the clear liquid thing. I wanted a specific time (first in for surgery) so I opted for the following week, May 6th.

    Sleeping

whatever is comfortable I was told by my doctor, which was my usual position - but with a pillow infront of my belly and between my knees. I sleep facing away from hubby so there was never an issue there.

    VENT pre-menopause and the scale

@@LeslieT63 you are starting where I was at one time. When I saw 282 on the scale a few months ago I KNEW, without a doubt, that I would be 300lbs soon - scared me to death! I have NO regrets at all about the surgery....darn scale may get to spend the weekend on the porch!
