Should you blenderise or strain your cream shops to de-lump?
jane13 replied to nomorechubbybutt63's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@nomorechubbybutt63 - blending it doesn't make it "healthier" IMO, just easier to digest. Are you post-op? -
Sleeve tomorrow. Any words of confidence from those who have done it.
jane13 replied to my_new_lifetime's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@my_new_lifetime - just like @@finediva said "enjoy the great nap and wake up to your new birthday" relax and do what they tell you at the hospital. walk as much as possible, hydrate and try to get off pain meds and go OTC as soon as possible. Happy Birthday! -
I waited, but the pureed stage was much better than the liquids - I won't deny that at all. I SOOOOO badly craved a scrambled egg with cheese and it was divine when I did get it on the 3rd day post-op.

Help me please! Pre op question
jane13 replied to jcrob's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't remember it being on my list but as long as it's a liquid at this point I would stick with water and called nut and get clarification. I don't think it's considered clear but at least it's a liquid and should be through your body pretty quickly. -
Be Honest...keeping BMI and weight the same for surgery
jane13 replied to Lexigurl82's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
if you have other health issues like HBP, sleep apnea, pre-diabetic lot of insurances will give approval and the BMI isn't as crucial at that point. -
Can I get some cream soup recommendations?
jane13 replied to nomorechubbybutt63's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
broccoli and cheese and cream of chicken both strained. I liked egg drop soup at the liquid stage too. -
July 16 Sleever, got a few questions. :)
jane13 replied to mb1o27's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@mb1o27 check with your NUT. scrambled eggs was what I had for my first real food. I was on pureed or soft on day 3. -
@@Inner Surfer Girl I am like you. I struggled to maintain my weight pre-surgery and that scared the carp out of me.

HAPPY NEW BIRTHDAY!

miralax is what I add to my coffee, Protein drink or yogurt just about everyday. I have also bumped up my Fiber intake and that has also meant more calories (200 roughly more per day). My weightloss has slowed a bit I think because of the slight increase in calories but I hated the feeling of "fullness" that the miralax didn't quite help.

I am happy to be out of the 42k's and into 38Fs! -
I kept it to just a handful of people at work. now I am getting asked daily what I am doing to lose the weight. I have since Friday of last week told anyone who asked me about my WLS. I have only had 2 tell me horror stories so far about their wives bypass.....

Why Getting Sleeved was the Biggest Mistake of My Life
jane13 replied to a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
sorry kid I agree with the others. I think up did rush into something and now you have buyers remorse. so.....are you gonna lose the weight you have put back on by going back to basics as a sleever or just sit back (not workout like us old farts do, right) and whine about it. old people over 45 like me do workout, lift weights and eat right to help the tool we chose as a WLS patient. -
Anyone have problems with Protein Powders?
jane13 replied to Rence's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have used both RTD and Protein mixes and haven't had any issues with bathroom trips. Did you mix fruit or juice with the protein mix? I was thinking too much sugar causing the urgent trip to the loo! I either mix with yogurt, Water or skim milk. I occasionally has put an ounce or so of juice for flavor (orange juice) to plain yogurt.
