  1. I followed my NUT and then saw my doctor 1 month post and he said to try to only eat 2 meals and if hungry in between eat veggies. I like his idea and I think he did it to help get the scale moving a bit better. I eat a Protein bar for breakfast, IF I am hungry, for breakfast. Small lunch and dinner. It works for me during the week. on the weekends I have a small breakfast ( couple of scrambled eggs) and a small dinner. I may eat a "snack" mid-day. I missed my veggies because of the protein first, veggies and then carb for meals the NUT said to follow.
  2. @@linzlou2000 - That day will be here in NO time - congrats! My DH is a federal employee and I had really very little out of pocket - less than $500. Being tired is probably the worst part - hydrate up until the last minute and walk, walk, walk! Try to not get to use to the hospital meds and go OTC as soon as possible. I use RX for night time starting the 2nd night home. I had a minimum 1 day stay. I was back at work 12 days post and that included two weekends. I have been one of the lucky ones in that respect

@@ocean4dlm - YES! I agree with you. IMHO - Its like living in an abusive situation and until you reach that "awakening" moment you keep going back and back. If you are not REALLY ready, or awakened , you WONT change physically or psychologically. Its like motivation, you cannot motivate someone who refuses to help themselves. As someone who has been in a management/supervisor position I determined a few years ago there are two types of people in the world: Flushers & NON-Flushers A flusher is the person who flushes the toilet when done (for the next person). A NON-flusher does there business and leaves. WHY??? They feel its NOT their job, they are TOO busy, etc. They also feel that the next person can flush for them - - - - - - - - idiots.

    Stop it!

I get that it is a "rant" and that you are "physically and spiritually unavailable". I don't understand the "stop trying to make it like what I'm doing is the worst", unless its a general statement referring to people in your life that have said something to you. I don't believe this was directed to someone here, right?
  12. I probably don't like getting asked how much I weigh NOW. Its none of their darn business! I started about 3 weeks ago telling people at work because they thought I was sick or something. Cancer? Problems at home? DH works at same place and he has lost about 10lbs since March. I have gotten tired of people asking what the "number" is on the scale. I flat out got tired of it and now I smile and tell them feel free to ask any question about my journey but I won't tell you how much I weigh (smile). I will tell them that I am on track and let them wonder what the scale reads....jeez. About 95% of the people I work with have the courtesy to NOT ask. I unfortunately feel like the one who are asking for the "number" are the people that are potentially going to try to sabotage me. Most of us know who have lost weight over the years and regained it all back about those kind of "friends/family". They are either stick thin folks who are worried you may draw a second of their attention or they are possibly a bit over weight and don't want the "fattest girl/guy title" in the room title - that you know longer have haters....
