@@TXTinana - @@shellyd67 @@ylluz I had the cold feet literally and mentally in pre-op. I tried to distract myself and because I was first in I was fortunately in before the panic got bad. I remember being wheeled in and thinking "OMG what the heck am I doing, RUN!" Then this nice male RN said "Ma'am take a deep breath and relax...." Next thing I know I was in recovery---- NO REGRETS at all!

Things we dont have to worry about anymore!
jane13 replied to krista132's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
- if I sat in a chair (lawn chair, or plastic one) would it break or attach to me as I stood - sitting in a booth would I have room between me (and my boobs) to see the plate - seatbelt reach? on an amusement ride or even in a car :/ - picture posing (I have never liked it and dread it still at -70lbs) -

@@Bufflehead - I did the Wellesse liquid too, for one bottles worth, post-op. I couldn't stomach the sweet taste. Are you still the Citracal petites? do you break them in half?

@@Steve_64 - great! 30lbs!!!! WOO_HOOO!!!! its amazing how a 30lbs loss can make you feel completely different. I still have a ways to go but feel like I weigh what my goal reads - which is a dream weight
-
@@natnat919 - one of my best friends of 31 years did something about as bad. When I told her on the phone I was already post-op her first question was "what about your boobs?" Really??? We have both been big girls for years. My boobs have always been bigger than the norm. She knows that I have considered the possibility of a reduction. I told her that until I got my weight closer to what I felt was normal to me it would be a waste of money. Also if I reduced to a DD, by the time I lost 119 lbs to get to 163 (the most I can weigh to be in a normal BMI), the DDs would be dragging on the ground behind me.... We haven't spoken since -

@@reece1239 - you may want to post under the other forum about hospitals - you may get a response there

@@JenniferP1 - have your talked to your NUT?

@@gayle - do you still get your blood work done at least yearly? I was told I would be monitoring it for life. I ask because I am sure your WLS doctor can provide updated info for your diet.

@@Maryw - I do the same thing. I think it is all menopause, sorry. I am 52. I have noticed being a lot colder - I guess the 70lb coat made a difference.

Low pain tolerance + gastric sleeve?
jane13 replied to Savannah Lee's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@glitter eyes @ - this was my first surgery. I have had wisdom teeth and stitches a couple of times but nothing like the VSG. I had three small holes and one in my bellybutton. I didn't really have cramps, just difficulty laying straight back in the bed. I figured out I could sit down, feet on the floor - and then, lay over to my side then roll to my back. I slept with a pillow in front of my stomach just incase the husband accidentally bumped me. I wasn't in my home during recovery so our bed wasn't something we were used to - -
