  1. I had liquids for three days, then pureed for ten and then a soft diet. it was ok. I enjoyed the scrambled eggs I got on day 4!
  2. yes. I am thankful it was removed from there. no extra incisions.

    Dress size conundrum

@@dhrguru I agree with the height needs to be considered as well. I am 5'8" and can wear some 12/14s at my current weight. I also think how you are shaped plays a role too. Pear or apple shaped? I am kinda neither. rather chesty and my weight is evenly distributed so far so my clothes sizes vary a lot with shirts and dresses sizes because of my bust size.
  5. @@Lexuskela I feel a lot thinner than I am. I gets lots of compliments and questions asking have I reached my goal. I am about 35 from doctors goal. when I tell them that they freak out. I have taken a couple of pics and I still look a bit heavy. but nothing like before.

What can I do with...cottage cheese?

I forgot to add that I have used it in place of sour cream on a baked potato. I haven't had a baked potato since surgery :/
  9. @@adcovington87 that's pretty normal. expect it for a little while longer possibly. this too will pass

    Torani vs extracts

I personally cannot drink the SF Torani. It has a bad after taste that I couldn't get past. I also cant eat Kale either or the SF popsicles everyone seems to be able to eat post-op. I have added vanilla to FF greek yogurt and have added the powdered PB to yogurt as well. YUM

    I am PISSED!

@@AggieSleever - just wanted to add make sure the broth is low sodium. try to get as much sodium out of your diet too. If it is near that TOM, that could also cause you to gain like usual. What you are experiencing is VERY normal. Hide the scale, eat your Protein, hydrate and try to get some kind of physical activity going if you haven't. Patience young Sleever
  16. @@Yaberhoo @@ddaisie00 - I would also hiccup post-op those first few weeks when I was approaching "full". I still hiccup/burp but not like those first few weeks

    Advice

@bluejeanbaby....if you think that is funny, I will admit here on BP what I DID do waiting to be allowed to drink. Ready??? I was allowed to have a wet washcloth to wipe my lips.... ....I sucked the water out of the washcloth a couple of times. it was either a covert maneuver like that, or my face stuck to the window licking it dry! jane
  18. @@pezzypooh - follow what your doctors orders are as far as eating. If you are allowed any liquids see if you can strain the regular soups: broccoli and cheese, chicken noodle, etc. its much better than broth (pre & post-op). Look for low-sodium too. Get rid of the caffeine now if you are required to do so afterwards. Easier to gradually back off than go cold turkey. Stay hydrated as long as possible even up to the night before surgery. I was the "first in" the next morning and just happened to wake-up at 11:45. OR nurse in pre-admissions said to drink up until midnight if I wanted - the better hydrated you are it easier on finding veins, etc... This is the beginning of a journey in life, use it. good luck and keep us posted.
