@@kelcified - like OP said, we all have been different rules... what were yours? I wasn't told no fried foods. I have had "buffalo" wings and friend Mozzarella sticks since probably 6 weeks out (wings, the cheese later...). Key phrase mentioned a few times - baby bites, chew well and wait. Watch the portions. A wing or two and maybe a mozzarella stick or pass on the stick and eat something else. Enjoy the company. food is fuel only. There are going to be times when you have to use the info you were given hopefully pre-op. Protein first, veggies and then carbs...eat smart. QUALITY over quantity ALWAYS!

Woooo scale is going down!

I did and didn't like the way it made me feel. That was years ago and I only took it for about two weeks, if that. It made me feel jittery. -
@@FrankiesGirl - explain how you did a quick pouch test. the more info the better~ I am wanting to do this as well but I haven't heard of a quick one love the pic for "FrankiesGirl"

I just chopped my hair again (layered it) to offset the thinning. It seems to have slowed (7months post) in the last month (so has the weight loss, unfortunately). I was losing 10-12 a month now its MAYBE half of that but that's okay - I am still "working it".

@@Mbain - embrace the stall - search thru BP for stall especially the infamous three week stall. YOU WILL STALL, it happens, breathe....

jane13 replied to wwboy's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I agree with everyone, make the decision for you, and YOU alone. You obviously felt you needed the VSG, has anything really changed? IMHO - I would do it...but that is MY opinion. -
@@tera1982 - you got this! Happy Re-Birthday and I have your seat saved here on the losers bench Good Luck!

Advice finding an excellent plastic surgeon
jane13 replied to Djmohr's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
@@AvaFern thanks. now I am wondering who was your bariatric surgeon? I had Uchal from St.Vincent's and had surgery at Southside. -
I don't think there is a definite timeline on the emotional/hormonal thing. IMHO, I think it varies depending on our age/amount of weight lost.

Which Weight Loss Surgery Blogs Do You Read?

@@bayougirlmrsc - you are about to have MAJOR "weight loss surgery"!!!! He weighs about 180lbs? I had that kind of weight loss back in 1993. He cheated, not once but twice, I took him back. I read in your emails some of my fears and suspicions - that is why I replied like I did. You are an attractive woman and trust me, there ARE decent guys out here. You will be fine. My ex never worked any job very long. I supported him and two kids to be treated like a doormat. I loved him, but it wasn't enough...he died 15 years ago. It was hard for me to admit to myself that I was getting a divorce. I married for life, but me loving him wasn't enough. He didn't love me. He admitted to his GF that he treated me like crap. She told me that at his funeral. I had taken our kids to the funeral. I felt bad that I never got a chance to tell him that I forgave after about 5 years (around 1998) after we divorced. I was very lucky to find a man who loves me as much as I love him. we have been married for over 21 years...

May want to wear a sports bra. pillow (hugging ride home) chap-stick book, kindle, Ipad & charger for reading and keeping us posted toiletries hydrate as much as possible as long as possible. check if you can up until midnight! good luck lil sister and happy early re-birthday!!!!

@@BobbyD - walmart also carries a greek yogurt in four packs that are 80 calories. Not as many varieties but I love the strawberry cheesecake! You can add Protein to bump up the content, but watch the sugars and calories as well. I was told to try to get single digit grams of sugar or under (1-9 grams) and double digit protein (10 or better)
