  1. @@meganmom - like OPs said Soups are great and depending on how you are doing a cup vice a bowl so it won't be a huge bowl. tell them to keep the crackers/bread I eat out a lot and the temptation of the bread and crackers is real...if carbs is your thing (its mine)

    Frustration and anger

@@Pinkgirl1234 - I agree with you but NOT all women are catty, but some of us are VERY catty - and especially when it comes to weight gain or weight loss. just sayin' @@ididit34 - NSVs like wearing smaller pants are THE best and I remind myself a lot that even though the scale isn't showing huge loses the pants/shirts are getting smaller
  4. @@Ray92, until this surgery I never knew the attraction to hummus...now I do and occasionally eat it by itself on a spoon.
  5. I creep up a pound then back down then down a pound or two then nothing for a week or two then drop three in a week. that's normal for me. your pattern is similar.

NSV - Shopping at a Regular Store

ditto! I bought off the mark down rack at Wal-Mart recently and was tickeled that I could wear a 12/14 in a shirt. I am a bit chesty so this was a big deal.

    TMI and a little gross

@kranky813 - hmmm change your brand of yogurt (sweeteners?) or creamer? if I eat/drink too much artificial sweetener that happens to me, sometimes. Not all the time.

    TMI and a little gross

@@kranky813 - what exactly are you eating? You say it happens every time. What are you drinking? What have you changed in your diet within the last 2-3 weeks??? That would be my first thing to look and see if I am developing a problem with a particular type of food. Dairy? Slider food? artificial sweetener?

sounds like you and your wife are great mates - which is what we all need. congrats on retiring and on her plans!

    Not losing

@@michelle0208 - are you tracking EVERYTHING? I know I may seem to be asking the obvious but if you are not tracking e-v-e-r-y-t-h-I-n-g you put in your mouth - it won't work. Its easy, a few weeks out, to get back into the old habits of a handful of chips, a extra Protein bar (excess carbs :/) or eating any kind of slider food. Are you exercising? Have you measured yourself? What is your required amount of protein & calories? Drinking plenty of Water? I would try on some older clothes and see how they fit. Sometimes as we "stall" or "plateau" we lose inches vice pounds.

  16. most of my local family has seen me often enough to not ask. I do get asked a lot at work. I work in a large industrial environment and don't see all of the other 2500 or so regularly. That's when the questions get asked. I share my story.
